Hello friends :)
Today's topic is CELESTIA!!!
Ok so its finally here (in the test realm), and to be honest, I am a little underwhelmed about it. Maybe its that we had to wait for so long, but I just am not super excited like I should be. Nonetheless, I'd like to go over the patch notes and give my thoughts. I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts in the comments area.
The biggest thing for us GM's is the raise of the lvl cap from 50 to 60. Most of my wizards stopped questing at lvl 50 to save exp pts for when the actually counted. This included not turning in the DS Zeke quest and the book quest.
With the cap raise, comes rank 8 spells (available at lvl 58). I am very excited about this, I wish we could see them before we get to lvl 58 or at least be given the names.
The next item is the new secondary schools. Another thing I have done with my wizards is hold back on using my training points. This was another move that turned out good. I've experienced the moon schools first spell, gobbler transformation, and I love it. At first I thought that the spells weren't gonna be powerful enough to be of any help. But given the right spell at the right time, it proves quite effective. And I can see how the moon school may dominate pvp.
I have also experienced the star schools first spell. These spells come in hand for any duel (PvP or PvE). I especially like the empowerment. This gives an extra pip for every rank 4 or higher spell cast against you. This makes me wonder if it works with satyr. I'm thinking 900 health AND a pip sounds awesome lol.
I haven't experienced the sun school yet. However, I have used tc cloaks before and they are very effective in pvp.
The next item on the list is the critical and block statistics. Obviously KI needed a fix to the status quo system. We could get pretty darn close to 100% Power pips (life could get over 100%). Adding new spells in, something had to change. I gotta be honest though, I don't understand the critical hit and block hit yet. I get the concept, but I don't really see how it meshes with the pp% system.
The next item is reagent changes. First I LOVE that we can now buy and sell in bulk. My fingers will get some rest. And I also Love that we can now put reagents into the shared bank. this will make higher level crafting much easier. This was also done with pet snacks, and that is much appreciated as well.
The next item is a deck update to prevent you from selling your last/only deck. It also prevents you from going into battle without one equipped. This change doesn't really effect me, but I suppose its good for new players.
A few other things that I liked were that the max gold amt was raised to 200k. Also the bazaar now has 500 of each item instead of 100. I like that the second chance chests can now supply to your bank. Life henchman now heal you :) Deleted wizards no longer show up in your friends list, which should empty a little space. Several chat exploits we're fixed and I am happy to say this does not include say numbers like third forth etc.
There were a few things that I really didn't like about this patch. First, players can no longer use /r to speak to people not on your friends list. This was a great way to add someones second wiz and is a real shame for this to go away. I also don't like that they took away the preview of a newly hatched egg in the dye shop. I thought this was very handy.
So yeah, those are my thoughts on the celestia patch (test realm). I haven't seen much of celestia yet, but it seems pretty cool. Like I said earlier, let me know what you think about the new stuff in the comments area.
Everyone have a great night/day.

Seasons
Hello friends :)
Today's topic is from my friend Mary. She asks: What is your favorite season?
Well, the short answer to that is spring. But as you all know, I simply cannot live with just a short answer to these types of questions.
Spring is my favorite because I love that first day where its warm enough to leave the coat un-buttoned/zipped. I love how everything is green. And the birds are back! Its nice to hear the birds after the long winter.
My second fav season is fall. I love the trees changing colors. And I love when the air is just crisp enough to make you wear a sweater. Summer is alright, but often it's too hot for my taste. As far as winter is concerned, I love the snow. However, having to walk to work in it is not fun. And I really can't stand the cold.
75 degrees is a good temp for me. Not too hot or too cold. Sleeping wise, anything between 40 and 70 is fine. Above 70 and I'm sweating like a pig, under 40 I am freezing to death, lol.
This fall has me really concerned. We've already had a few nights close to freezing, and its not even Halloween yet. Normally right around then is when it really gets cold. I remember one year when I was small, we were at the halloween parade and it was as cold as if it was the christmas parade, lol. I'm concerned that winter will be really bad. It gets really bad running a drive thru window when its 15 degrees outside. I'm cold just sitting here thinking about it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its gonna be a very very long weekend. Last time I knew, we were 2 people short for tonight, and 2 people short for tomarrow night. I hope my boss doesn't schedule me at 4PM sun, cause I may not have the energy to make it.
Everyone have a great night/day.

new fb features
Hello peeps :)
Today I found an interesting article that I would like to share with you all.
The article itself can be found here: http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/6/facebook-now-allows-you-to-download-your-information/
Basically Fb now has a feature that allows you to download your fb profile into a zip folder on your computer. You can then do anything from uploading it to another social site, upload it to your own webpage, etc.
I gathered from the article that this is a big step for fb. They apparently have been very guarded concerning security.
I have to say that I don't think this is a good idea. Looking ahead I see hackers not only getting into your acct, but being able to download your info to use later. And I also think by the time everyone who matters finds out how bad of an idea it really is, it will be too late.
In another article, I read about fb creating a "groups" feature. I like this concept very much, especially the group chat. I am interested however, to see how they deal with 13 and under age group concerning this feature. I'm inclined to hope for either parental permission or no access at all for that age group.
What do you all think about the new features? Love 'em? Hate 'em? You know you want to comment, so spill your guts! :)

funny thing happened while making cookies
Hello Friends :) Today I'd like to share a funny story with you all. I was talking with my dad this morning and it reminded me of this.
Many years ago, I had found a recipe for cookies (I think Peanut butter cookies). Anyway, I decided to make them right away. Keep in mind I've never been great with baking.
One of the ingredients was brown sugar. The only brown sugar we had on hand, we'd had for a while. So basically is was one large very hard chunk. But I was determined to use it anyway.
Well, I had to break it apart right? well I pounded on it again and again, with no luck. So then I got a butter knife out and attepted to "chisle" the clump.
Once again, I was having zero luck. At this point my dad jumped in to help (if thats what you wanna call it). We decided that we needed more force on the knife, so we got out the hammer.
After pounding with the clump on the table a few times, we decided to move to the floor to not make as much noise. Note: it was on a plate, not right on the floor.
The plates we use on a daily basis aren't china or ceramic. I don't think they're plastic either. Anyway, if you drop them they don't break easily (or so we thought).
So dad and I are hammering away on a knife which is digging into a chunk of brown sugar, which is on a non breakable plate, on our kitchen floor.
At some point we give up and when we attempt to pick up the plate, its in 2 pieces. All that hammering broke the plate. My dad and I cracked up laughing, my mom however, wasn't so happy with us. To this day we still crack up when we think about it.
BTW those cookies never got made :)
I hope you all enjoyed my little story. Everyone have a great night/day.

Power Leveling? No thank you!
Hello friends :) Once again my friend Mary has come through with an awesome topic idea. Today's topic is Power leveling: good or bad?
I guess I will start off by explaining what power leveling is for those who don't know. Power Leveling is when you take a low level wizard and run it through a high level dungeon (or more than one dungeon) with one or more high level wizards. the purpose is to gain upwards of 20 levels before leaving wizard city.
From my experience, power leveling is not a good idea. At least one of my wizards have been power leveled. I find that you often hit level 50 long before you reach Malistaire, meaning if you want to continue on to malistaire, you won't get credit for some of the quests. Another down side is you will run into problems with you school spell quests. The quests are designed to happen near the time when you are in that area (so you won't get a spell quest in MooShu while you are still in Marleybone). By power leveling you hit the spell quest level before you are ready for it.
There is an upside to power leveling however. It does make questing considerably easier. Going through wizard city at level 20 is a very different experience.
But like I said earlier, I am not a power leveling fan. I think it takes a lot of fun out of the game. And you'll run into school spell quest issues. But if you wanna try power leveling, I say only do it with one wizard. If you don't like the way its turning out, just delete and start over.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been questing my ice and myth together, and I love the pairing. I was struggling with both schools individually, but together I am moving right along. Both wizards just hit level 45 and got new gear :D They are up to the necropolis in DS. In GH, Ice is almost up to ravens, myth is ready to do Jotun. I'm excited to be making GMs #9 and 10 (this will also give me one is every school).
I work 8-close today then get Tuesday off :) Oh do i need Tuesday off! I am exhausted. I'm hoping to hear from JJ's this week. Everyone have a great night/day :D

blah... work again... blah
Hello friends :) I have officially run out of blog topics, so I need your help. Send me any and all of your ideas.
I haven't heard back from JJ's yet. I don't really expect to hear anything until at least Monday.
It was such a long night at work. They really need to fire the people who do a no-call no-show. Someone did that last night. He's a nice enough guy, but I hope they fire him. I worked 5-close which felt really weird since I am used to 4-close. Luckily I got to work sandwiches all night.
Today is 4-close. Given the crew that is "supposed" to work tonight, we should be golden. But I know one was trying to get out of her shift so, it might be harder than I'd like.
In w101, I am currently working on both my ice and myth at the same time, they are both right around lvl 45, so hopefully tonight I can get there and get new gear :)
I'm sleepy so I best get to bed. everyone have a great night/day :) and remember to send those blog ideas in :)

Hello Friends :)
Todays topic is a little more personal than I normally get. One of Stephen's questions, on his list, was whether or not there was a special someone in my life. I think he asked this question assuming there was, and thinking that he knew who it was.
To be honest, no. Right now there is no special someone. There was, and yes he was/is in the spiral. But when trust is lost, or even the possibility of betrayal introduced, it ruins whatever there was. I don't know that I actually was betrayed, but it makes sense, and I would have been stupid enough to let it happen.
I still speak with him occaisionally, but things are really not what they used to be. He has not been confronted because that won't change anything. Stuff happened, it messed with all of us and we are all moving on. I don't want to tarnish names, or falsly accuse, that why I am not providing details. I guess if you want to know the story, message me on fb.
If you understand nothing else, know this: I was falling, very very much so. Now I am picking up the pieces.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the interview went well. The menu test was very unusual. It was a blank piece of paper. I was asked to put the numbers, names, and ingredients for every sub and sandwich. I can't even tell if I missed any. Now I am just waiting for the email from the GM on whether or not I got it. I really, really want this job. Its time for a change.
Everyone have a great night/day.
