hehe oops :)

So um I woke up today and was checking my email and stuff like that and I thought, "oh I should check my blog to see if any new comments are there" and then I remembered that I forgot to do a blog post yesterday.. oops :)

I'm really slapping myself on the wrist for not doing one, cause I have a problem with finishing what I start. And one missed day seems like nothing at the time, but one turns into 2. Then its 'oh I had a busy week, I'll catch up next week' and then it turns into another abandoned blog. I am bound and determined to NOT let that happen.

Both Sunday and Monday were pretty similar work wise. On nights like those I find myself on auto-pilot which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just very boring.

Tonight I was on schedule to watch Casablanca, but the dvd didn't arrive today. This is the first time Netflix has been even one day late, so I am hoping our mailman didn't put it in the wrong mailbox.

Before Sunday, my 2nd balance wiz was lvl 45 and at the grand chasm. As of 30 minutes ago, she has finished the lab, and is now set up for Pyromancer's Tomb at lvl 47 1/2. I suspect that she will either finish or be really close to finishing by the end of my 3 days off. Ice is in Ravenscar and Tower Archives. I have no idea where my myth is, somewhere in DS I suppose.

Well, I am abnormally tired this morning so I am gonna call it a night (err morning). Everyone have a great night/day.

hmmm... are you sure this was Saturday?

Wow what a day at work. Kinda slow for a Saturday but busy enough to keep us busy, lol. Today I worked with a manager that hadn't closed a weekend for awhile (except for Friday Night). Friday night went horribly bad without me and my friend there. They didn't get done until 2AM. Tonight I clocked out at 12:45AM. It is my firm opinion that if you hit 2AM you are doing something wrong. Tonight me and my friend kicked major butt, and got everything done. That place looked darn good when we left :). The manager I worked with tonight has been a real a-hole lately. He's always acting like he's always right, and the minute you challenge that he gets all broody and mad. He almost never puts crew members in their best spots. Tonight his ex was whining that she didn't want to do the dining room and he was actually going to switch me and her to let her do drive thru. I was like Uh... no. So as to not piss me off (which he knows would be a very bad thing to do) he left us the way we were.

I get 3 days off next week so for those 3 days I am swearing off of WoW. Its going to be a complete W101 fest. I really need to get back into a lvling mood.

Tonight is 8-close so I am not terribly concerned with getting to bed, but I am getting sleepy. Everyone have a great night/day.

Dad's Birthday

I'm sitting here drying my eyes after having cried my way through the end of "Marley & Me". For the majority of the movie I was happy and laughing, but the last 10 minutes or so, just did me in. I still consider it a good movie overall, I'll just have to add it to the list of movies that make me cry. But anyway... on to brighter events of the day.

Today was my dad's birthday, 68 years young. Most years we just have a quiet dinner out (sometimes in) and have cake. This year we kicked it up a notch. A friend of mine from work and her husband invited my parents and I to tag along to dinner and a movie. Dinner was absolutely delicious (as was desert).

The movie we saw was "The Last Exorcism" and I must say thank gosh its "the last" and not "the first". If you have seen the "Blair Witch Project" then you have absolutely no reason to see "The Last Exorcism". My friend and I laughed most of the way through it at the stupidness and for being a "horror" movie, it only had one jump out of your seat moment. The movie was so disappointing. The only bright spots of the movie were the scenes where the girl was being controlled by the "demon". If you don't like cameramen running with the camera, this is also not the movie for you. My friend has assured me that next time, I get to pick the movie :)

Movie aside, my dad had a really good birthday. I think he even caught the movie bug. He expressed interest in seeing a movie for my mom's birthday in a few weeks, lol.

Well its 4-close today for work, so I better get headed to sleep. Everyone have a good night/day.

Day off :D

What a nice relaxing day off :)

Started off today working on the guide. I got MB and MS done. Stopped at DS when I realized I was missing a few screenshots. I'll have to get those before continuing. Once I stopped, I switched to playing my ice girl. She finished up the area before Jotun and then solo'd Jotun (with the help of henchmen of course). She is now up to Ravenscar and is after those stupid feather that drop once in a blue moon.

Switched over to WoW at this point. Started an Undead Priest (there's an oxymoron for ya, lol). She's already to lvl 7. I really like her so far.

Today is the big "night out" for my dad's birthday. Its gonna be soo much fun. And the fact that my dad isn't trying to get out of going makes it all the better.

I watched a movie called Frequency tonight. I've seen it before, but loved watching it again.

I guess I should get some sleep. I gotta get up a little early for being a day off. Everyone have a great night/day.

SSDD as always

So yeah today was kinda boring... same old stuff. Work, work work. It was a pretty easy night at work though. Next 2 days off. Woot! A few weeks ago I would have said "Yes! Wiz101 fest!" But now its all crafting guide this and crafting guide that. Don't get me wrong, I am loving putting this much effort into something that everyone can use, but I just wish I had more time to quest. Lately whenever I attempt to quest I end of feeling like I should be working on crafting instead. I finished the stacks of wood planks for the GH house. Thats one thing off of the very long list. Now I am working on the 15 ornamental stepping stones. I am in great need of ectoplasm, nightshade, and GOLD! I have spent soo much gold buying ectoplasm in the bazaar. And the transmute for ectoplasm is 5 leather straps= 1 ectoplasm. but leather straps are just as hard to come by and just as expensive in the bazaar, so that doesn't really help.

Played some WoW tonight. I did more wandering around than actually playing though. I like to take a day and just go from town to town and open up entire maps. Its cool to find new places. I died once today cause I walked right up to an alliance town trying to get close enough to get the exp pts for it, lol. I'm up to lvl 26 now. Most of that last level was just from wandering and low level quests.

So anyway... the plan for today is of course, finishing off the quest portion of the guide and maybe doing the transmute info. Then of course Friday is the big night out. I really am excited :) It'll be weird to see my parents interact in a dinner setting with people they have never met (only heard about). Should be fun, lol. So ya, I'm sleepy so I'm just gonna put my head dow...

...

...

huh? oh what? wow sorry drifted off there. I better get to sleep. Everyone have a great night/day.

yet another overly boring day

So I didn't do much today. I was supposed to work 4-8 but we were so so dead that I got to go home right before 7.

I worked on the crafting guide a little. I got WC and KT quests done for it. Now that it actually has stuff on it to show, I'll post the link www.latenightwizard.com/crafting_help.html That page has the links to all the pages, but again only WC and KT are finished.

Played WoW tonight. Got my Tauren up to lvl 25. I'm working on cleaning up quests that I left behind.

I watched a movie called "Rachel Getting Married". It's a drama (in every sense of the word) but its filmed as more of a docu-drama. I really didn't like it very much. The story was decent but it just didn't go anywhere. I can see why Anne Hathaway won the Oscar for it though. She did a very nice job portraying a drug addict.

I work 8-close tonight and then its 2 glorious days off :) This weekend is going to just be completely fantastic! Everyone have an awesome night/day.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

dull boring Monday

Well, work was boring today. We were almost completely dead, with the exception of a few small rushes. The rest of the week should be a piece of cake (except maybe Saturday).

Did a little bit of crafting today. With only 3 crafting slots, I am slowly working my way through the 30 stacks of wood planks needed for the GH house.

Played a little bit more WoW today. Still at lvl 24 but got some quests out of the way that I had been putting off.

I watched "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" tonight. I love just about any movie with Kate Hudson but this one is my second favorite (favorite being "Almost Famous").

I only work 4-8 today so I'll probably play a game with my mom after work then get back to work on the crafting guide. My horoscope in the local newspaper hinted that it would be a good day to work on it. But then again that is just a hint, lol.

I have already stayed up too late trying to figure out Paypal and their wacky system. So now I am off to sleep before my head explodes. Everyone have a great night/day.

Monday, August 23, 2010

Nice relaxing Sunday :)

ahh... today was such a nice relaxing day. I was so productive today. I got a really decent start on my crafting guide. I got slowed down a little bit when I realized I was missing some screenshots. I think I now have everything I need to finish on either Tuesday night or Thursday.

Watched "Pride and Prejudice" tonight (the one with Kiera Knightly) for like the millionth time. "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" should arrive today.

Played a little WoW tonight. I hadn't played for a few days so I got quite a bit of "rested" bonus. My Tauren Hunter hit lvl 24 :)

Work 4-close today but it should be a pretty easy night. Especially with kids headed back to school this week. They won't have their bad attitudes at my drive-thru at 11:59 PM ordering 30 dollars worth of food, lol.

Small shoutout to Kyle Busch for winning all 3 Nascar events in one weekend (Truck Series, Nationwide Series, and Cup series) at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Time to sleep, so everyone have a great night/day.

Sunday, August 22, 2010

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

well, its 6:45 AM and I should be sleeping right now. I'm supposed to work today but I am making an executive decision that working 7 days in a row (3 of them 4-close in a row) is not a smart idea for my sanity or my health.

So today will be all about getting my crafting guide online and looking all pretty. If I don't get entirely finished, I can still work on it Tuesday Night and Thursday.

I can't wait for Friday :D Its my dad's birthday so me and my parents and a friend from work and her husband are all gonna go to dinner and catch a movie :) My parents haven't had a "night out" in a while so this should be really fun.

Well, thats all I got for now. I may post later if something post-worthy comes to mind :) Everyone have a great night/day.

Crafting crafting and so much more crafting

So if you didn't know already, I am making a crafting guide for the LNW website. I started crafting when it was first released, but it was never my favorite thing. But with 2 master artisans, I figured I should do the guide. I started my life girl on crafting from the very beginning only for the guide. It really didn't take me long to get up to the MS and DS crafting quests. Tonight she became a Master Artisan :)

Off I went to do the pre-quests to GH since she hit GM without GH. I swiftly bought up the housing recipe for the GH house. I then searched each and every world to buy the recipes for the items needed for the house. Having bought all recipes I copied down all needed reagents (for guide purposes). I added up all the reagents and the numbers made me seriously wonder if this was really worth all the time it was going to take. here are the numbers for reagents needed:

Bronze Gear 368
Frost Flower 100
Waterlillies 214
Ore 370
Glass Vials 20
Shadow Oil 142
Scrap Iron 144
Mistwood 380
Parchment 160
Deep Mushroom 544
Diamonds 80
Stone Blocks 168
Ectoplasm 300
Nightshade 90
Simple Vials 45
Black Coal 90
Ghost Fire 20
Blizzard Treasure Cards 10
Locust Swarm Treasure Cards 8
Woodwalker Treasure Cards 32
Snowman Treasure Cards 16
Seraph Treasure Cards 4

Not to mention, once the house is done I plan to craft 2 mannequins and the carousel :(
I may be crafting forever.

Work was exhausting tonight. LNW officer meeting was fun though. No movies after work but I did watch The Stepford Wives before work, pretty good movie. *sigh* I am getting sleepy so I'm gonna hit the hay. Everyone have a great night/day.

crazy wacked out Thursday!

Wow what a day... for the second day in a row we just got hammered at work from 8-10 PM without a break. If that happens Fri or Sat, it could end up being very long nights. The way it stands I don't get a day off until Thursday. Thats not gonna work out well for me, especially with 3, 4-closes in a row.

I didn't get a chance to play wiz tonight. I watched about 30 minutes of "Time Bandits" and realized it just wasn't my kind of movie (no offence to the person who recommended it). So instead I watched "My Best Friends Wedding" and "The Men Who Stare at Goats". I found "The Men Who Stare at Goats" to be pretty funny, but its an acquired taste kinda funny. I'm sure most people won't find it funny or understand it. If you like no-so-serious war movies this might be a good one for you.

I don't really have a game plan for Fri. I work 8-close. LNW officer meeting after work. As much as I am working up through next week, I do need to get some game time in.

Well, anyway, time to sleep. Everyone have a great night/day.

Thursday, August 19, 2010

I'm sleeeeeepppppyyyyy *yawn*

So I didn't do much today. Work lasted a little longer than I anticipated since we were really busy. Needless to say I didn't play any games today. I had planned on watching Time Bandits tonight, but instead I ended up watching a movie/mini-series called "Tin Man". Its an updated version of "The Wizard of Oz" made by the sci-fi channel. They ran it as a 3 part mini-series and Netflix has it on instant watch. This was my second time watching it. I didn't expect to like it, but by the end I found it awesome. Beware that if you plan to watch it all the way through, it is about 4 1/2 hrs long.

I really am very sleepy, so I must call it a night. Have a good night/day everyone.

SSDD

So today was my only day off for the week. Its not nearly as humid as it was a few days ago so it was actually a beautiful day. The plan for today was that there was no plan.

I started where I left off yesterday, playing my ice wizard in W101. I finished the part of GH I was working on, did the mirkholm keep dungeon, then moved on to and finished the next part. I am now on the area with the wolves.

Knowing that the game was going down for 6 hr maintenance at 1AM my time, I decided tonight would be a movie night.

First off I watched "Taking Pelham 123" starring Denzel Washington and John Travolta. This movie was pretty good for being an action/suspense movie. Certainly not my most favorite movie of all time, but still good.

Second movie was "Race to Witch Mountain". I have seen the 2 older prequels to this movie, and enjoyed them. This one certainly held its own with them, but did not surpass them. I did like however that the 2 who played the original children, made cameos in this one.

At this point Netflix decided to do maintenance. I am convinced that Netflix and Kingsisle have a deal going to get people to sleep more by doing maintenance at the same time, lol. Anyway, I played a free trial of a game from bigfishgames.com. An hour later I went back to netflix and picked out my third movie for the night.

I chose "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler. I am a big Adam Sandler fan but I hadn't seen this movie before. In true Sandler fashion, I laughed all the way through it. One thing I love about Adam Sandler movies is, no matter what the plot line is, he always manages to get Rob Schneider into the movie. This movie was obviously gear more toward kids than adults, but it still made the grade for a good Sandler movie.

Its gonna be a long day today 4-close. I guess I better be getting to sleep so I can actually function today. Have a great night/day everyone.

GIANTS WIN!!!!!!

Ok so if you didn't get it from the title, I am a HUGE NY Giants fan. Tonight they played their opening pre-season game against their rivals the NY Jets. At halftime, I honestly wasn't sure if a win was possible, but we really kicked it into gear in the second half. Final score was 31-16 Giants :D

In other news, work wasn't too bad. Honestly it was a little boring tonight.

In game news, I got enough pearls to do one bookcase, so I went ahead and crafted that one. Now I just need 6 more pearls to be master artisan!!! Once I finish the bookcases I am going to craft the GH house. Once that is done I will do one male and one female mannequin (sp?). Then its the Carousel. Once all of that is done I will finally be done with the crafting guide. I am actually kinda excited to craft the GH house cause it is something that very few will take the time to do. Tonight I helped an Ice friend with some MB quests and it got me wanting to play my ice. So after my friend logged off, I switched wizards and started GH with her. She has almost completed the Starvastaad Pass area.

I didn't watch any movies tonight. To be honest I am sitting here falling asleep so I should really go to bed. Everyone have a great night/day.

MOVIE NIGHT!!!!!

So work was not so fun today. Seeing as how Findlay is right along I-75 and the NASCAR race was in Michigan, we got just the tiniest bit busy. About 6:45 PM everyone came in all at once. I thought it was never gonna end. Luckily I was surrounded by people who knew what they were doing (which made my job a little easier).

The highlight of my night was after work. I was headed to Walmart to go shopping. As we were on the overpass over I-75, I saw 3 NASCAR trucks headed South! I had seen smaller racing trucks before but never the Cup Series ones :D Not to mention my fav driver #11 Denny Hamlin came in 2nd in todays race :D

Once I got home I watched 3 movies. The first one was "Mr. Bean Takes a Holiday" I'm not really a big fan of the "Bean" movies but I must say this one was halarious.

The second movie was "Evan Almighty". Now I have seen "Bruce Almighty" with Jim Carrey and I must say that "Evan Almighty" did not get anywhere near as funny as "Bruce Almighty". Then again, I would pick Jim Carrey over Steve Carrell any day.

The third and final movie was "The Ugly Truth". I had seen this once before and was kinda just looking to fill the time up. This movie is not for kids. However, I really did find it entertaining. Maybe it was because of Girard Butler O_o.

Today (Mon) is 4-8 so it should be a pretty easy night. Then with Tuesday being my only day off I plan to relax and enjoy it.

Ooh! Almost forgot! I finished my robes for W101 crafting. Since I pre-bought most of the items for the bookcases all I need are 11 black pearls and I will be master artisan! EEK!

Ok I need to get to sleep so everyone have a great night/day.

Sunday, August 15, 2010

*sigh* today is over...

Once again another long day at work. We weren't as busy as yesterday so it wasn't as bad in that respect. Today (Sunday) is 4-8 and then I get to go shopping :D I don't have a day off until Tuesday so I need to enjoy the 4-8's while I have them.

Tonight I watched "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer" It was fantastic. Just as good as I hoped it would be. The only thing that could have made it better was if I had Rose Red on DVD to follow it up :) If you like Stephen King, and haven't seen those 2 movies, I highly suggest you see them. Watch The Diary.. first then Rose Red. Rose Red with make much more sense that way.

Played a little W101 tonight. All I did was lotus farming. I only need like 3 pearls to finish robes. Then I'll need 12 more for the bookcases.

Well, I am very sleepy so I am going to hit the hay. Everyone have a good night/day.

Saturday, August 14, 2010

Tired but Accomplished :D

So I just did something I am very very proud of myself for. I figured out how to network my 2 laptops without a router :D Now my mom can play Toontown while I am playing W101.

It was such a long day at work as I predicted. I thought it was never gonna end. And in less than 12 hrs from now I will be back doing it all over again :(

Didn't game tonight. I thought I would get some WoW in after the LNW meeting but I was in a movie mood, so I watched "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" It was pretty funny. I think little kids might get scared from the giant food crushing everyone.

Today I should get "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer" which I am soo excited to see. Well, I guess I better be getting to bed, got a long day ahead of me. Everyone have an awesome night/day.

Friday, August 13, 2010

Nice relaxing day off before a rough weekend

So I had today off, which was wonderful. The only bad part is Fri and Sat 4-close. This weekend will be very busy. Nascar is up in Michigan and with Findlay being right on I-75, we get a lot of interstate traffic. Also we have a balloon fest this weekend. All of that spells one big disasterous weekend.

So what did I do today? I farmed for/ bought all necessary ingredients for the robes (except for black pearls), and crafted one of them. Still need about 6 pearls for the second robe. I also got myself a little ahead by buying up all the reagents needed for the bookcases (again except for the pearls). The bookcases will need 12 pearls so I am going to be farming pearls for awhile. I also did an ironworks run with a good friend.

I didn't play any WoW today, and probably won't all weekend. I've got to get these crafting quests done before the end of the month. There is an LNW officer meeting tonight taking place in the LNW chat room.

It's gonna be a long 2 days, but I'll survive like I always do.

Random question to readers: If you suspect someone has ultimately betrayed you, is it better to know for sure, or blindly believe that they didn't?

Thursday, August 12, 2010

8hr update??!!??!!??!!

oohh my did it rain today! Downpoured about 30 minutes before I had to leave for work. Luckily it stopped before I left. Made it about 10 degrees cooler which was such a nice change :)

I played W101 before work. Went Lotus farming for a little bit. Then I went bazaar farming. Normally I don't farm the bazaar, but I was feeling lazy today. I ended up buying 200 red mandrake to prepare myself for the bookcase crafting quest (made 14 blood moss :) ) In total I spent about 25-30 thousand gold lol.

After work W101 was down for maintenance so I played WoW for a little bit. My human is now lvl 13.

I watched the movie "Up" tonight. It was pretty entertaining for an animated movie. Certainly not as funny as Ice Age, but still funny.

About the W101 maint. Its past the 8hr mark and game still isn't up. I don't get what could take so long to fix. Even DS only took 4 hrs to add in. A few people have said Celestia on test, but I don't wanna get my hopes up. The plan was to stay up and wait to see what it was all about, but if the game doesn't come back online soon, I may give up and go to bed.

No work today so it should be a nice relaxing day :) Everyone have an awesome night/day

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

The perfect day off except....

it was just too darn hot today. When I was a kid, the heat didn't phase me at all. Nowadays anything above 80 is too much for me.

Otherwise today really was pretty perfect. Walked down to the bank first thing. Then worked on some W101 crafting. All I need for the robes is 15 black pearls... oh joy.

After dinner I played "Guess Who" with my mom. Then I played WoW for a little bit. Got a little bored so I switched back to W101 where lotus farming made me even more bored lol.

I watched 2 movies tonight "Back to the Future 3" and "Fried Green Tomatoes". If you've never seen Fried Green Tomatoes, you really must watch it at least once. My first time seeing it was a few years ago. I was channel surfing and came across it, I had no idea what it was, but I fell in love with it anyway :)

Next Netflix movie is "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer". Its a prequel to Stephen Kings' "Rose Red". For those that don't know much about me, I am a HUGE Stephen King fan. I knew there was a book titled "The Diary of Ellen ZRimbauer", but I had no idea that there was a movie until I randomly saw it on Netflix :)

I guess I should be getting to bed. Work 8-close tonight. Sky kinda looks pink right now, think it might actually rain some. Maybe that will cool it off. Everyone have an awesome night/day.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Day 8

So it is day 8 of this blogs "life" and I still have no idea what I want it to be about. I guess for now its just going to have to be the same boring stuff about my life, like it has been.

In today's news, I had a very easy night at work (very fun night as well). I have Tuesday off so I plan to relax all day and work on some W101 crafting.

In WoW news, I lvled my human up to 11. she is almost done with her initial map (Stormwind, Goldshire etc.)

I watched Sleepless in Seattle, which I hadn't seen before. I have no idea how I made it this long without watching it. I love chick flicks but I don't normally get emotional about them. The ending of this movie just tugged at every heart string that I have.

Back to the future 3 arrives this after noon :) I can't wait to watch it!

Another thing that I am excited for it the county fair coming up in a few weeks. I've only missed maybe 2 fairs in my entire life when I was in college. It'll be nice to actually have money to spend this year :) I hope I don't have to work too much :p

Well, its full blown daylight so I must sleep before I turn to dust :) everyone have an awesome night/day

Monday, August 9, 2010

"WoW" what a day :)

So work was fun tonight. I love the shifts where I can laugh and have a good time. Thats one of the things I actually like about my job.

Played a lot of WoW today. Before work I worked on my night elf. Still at lvl 15 I think. After work I started a human. I have played Human so many times (in numerous free trials) that I thought I hated Human. I actually am kinda liking my Human. She is up to lvl 8 already (not bad for about 5 hrs of playing).

Didn't get a chance to watch any movies tonight. Although before work I did watch Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan. It was a very very funny movie.

Well, thats about all I got for today. Everyone have an awesome night/day :)

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Nice relaxing day :)

So I had the day off today. It was nice to have a Saturday off. Not to mention a day off when I didn't have to go running to the store or on some other errand.

I finished the rings of apotheosis on W101. Next up is the life robe quest. If anyone knows who has the life robe recipe, I'd greatly appreciate it. I ended up buying about 30-40 ore from the bazaar cause farming wasn't working fast enough for me.

In WoW news, my night elf is up to the darkshore area. The minute I stepped in Darkshore I remembered that I hated it. Hopefully this character will actually make it through. She is at lvl 15 now.

I watched 2 movies tonight. One was a documentary about The Friday the 13th horror films, which I am a huge fan of. The documentary was ok, but it could've been better.

Second movie was Confessions of a Shopaholic. I found this movie absolutely halarious. I seriously laughed all the way through it. Next Netflix doesn't come until Tuesday so I have to just find random movies until then. I think tomarrow night I'll watch Fried Green Tomatoes :)

I work 8-close tonight. Should be a pretty easy night. Then again, Sundays can be unpredictable. I'm about to eat me some food before I go to sleep so everyone have an amazing night/morning.

Saturday, August 7, 2010

*sigh* long day

ugh today was such a long day. Worked 8-close. I won't bore you all with the details of work happenings.

I watched Back to the Future 2 tonight. I'll get part 3 on Tuesday. If you haven't guessed, I have Netflix. Thats how I know what I am watching and when.

Played WoW before work. I'm thisclose to getting my night elf out of Darnassus. She has like one quest left. I get so lost in the cities though. I have maps from the battle chest thing but I still get all turned around. Can't wait until I hit 20 with my elf so I can get a tiger mount :)

In W101 news, went back to crafting tonight after the LNW officer meeting. I need 10 diamonds to finish off the rings of apotheosis. I'm beginning to hate DS academy.

I don't have to work today so I'll probably be in both games at some point. On top of that I must put a new bulb in the porch light since no one else in the house can climb a ladder.

Ok thats enough of my rambling. Its daylight, so like the Vampire I am, I must go to sleep. Goodnight/morning everyone.

Friday, August 6, 2010

In pain!

This is gonna be a short post since I was playing WoW longer than expected.

I woke up about noon today in pain from a charley-horse. Needless to say my hamstring still hurts really bad when I walk.

I played my night elf this morning on WoW. Got her up to lvl 11 she's almost out of dolanaar.

8-close tonight so at least I get to sleep in a little bit. Speaking of sleep, goodnight/morning everyone :)

Little Surprises

So today I worked an 8 1/2 hr day, which for my job, is about as long as it gets. Wednesdays are tricky, last week was beyond dead, tonight was extremely busy. I walked into tonight knowing it wasn't going to go smoothly. On the schedule was myself, our standard backroom guy and 2 others (1 kinda new, 1 very new). This could have spelled disaster for me being the one up front with the most closing experience.

For those that think it is easy to close a fast food restaurant down, it's not. It can be if everyone knows exactly what they are doing, but to have 2 fairly new people on one closing shift is not a good idea.

Nonetheless, we trudged ahead through the night. Once it got dark we hit our first major snag, a massive downpour with lightning and thunder. Being the one in the drive thru window, I got completely soaked. The box that runs the microphones also got wet causing snag number 2.

Once the box got wet it shorted out. So I could still talk to customers at the speaker, but I could not hear them. The only other working headset in the store was worn by the manager/ sandwich maker. However, his box could only listen, the customers could not hear him.

Needless to say, we spent about 2 1/2 hrs taking the orders by relay from him to me. Lets just say I never want to have to do that again.

Anyway back to the closing. Turns out my people had been trained well. I didn't have to ask them to do anything. Nor did I have to pick up their slack. Overall, it was a darn good night.

In other news, I was just about to get on W101 and saw that maintenance was happening in one hour from the time I was trying to log on. So I decided to skip w101 for tonight. Instead I went and played a free trial of some game on bigfishgames.com.

I didn't watch any movies tonight, but Friday I plan on watching Back to the Future 2.

Its getting daylight here so I better get some sleep for my nice easy 4 hr day at work :)

P.S. I tried getting a music player on here. I found a free one but can't get it to work right. If anyone out there knows a good player that works, please let me know. Thanks :)

I'm a bad employee

So I was supposed to work today. But I wanted to go shopping, so I called in sick and went shopping. I used to never call off. Lately its becomming a nasty little habit. I've even called off for events with my late night wizard group. I really do need to stop it though, otherwise it could get me fired. I work my ass off at my job, and on weekends they fall apart without me. I just get so frustrated being the only one working as hard as I do.

In other news, I watched "Back to the Future" tonight. I love all three of the movies (number 2 is my fav). Friday I'll get part 2 via Netflix :)

Right now I am listening to some Pink. favorite song on this album is "Glitter in the Air"

In gaming news, I started an alliance character in WoW today (gasp!) I can't stand playing a human, but the night Elves might work out. I spent quite a few hours exploring with my Tauren. Got her about a half lvl worth of exp just from walking around. she is almost 24 now.

I did get in w101 for a few minutes today. I spent about 15 minutes searching for a transmute spell for Ore which I now think doesn't exist. If anyone out there can confirm one way or the other please let me know. I'm gonna have to take a break from WoW for a few days to get some crafting done. My crafting guide for the Late Night Wizard site needs to be done by the end of this month.

My dads birthday is this month, still not entirely sure what to get him. It'll be hard to top his father's day present (a box of his favorite- hard to find candy bars). He says he'd be happy with a carton of cigarettes and a case of beer, but I am not comfortable buying beer for him. I'm sure I'll think of something.

Well, I guess I should start heading to bed. I have an 8 1/2 hr work day ahead of me that I really do have to show up for. Remember, any advice or suggestions are welcomed, good or bad.

Brand new start

Hello out there in blog land. My name is Jennifer Reigle, which you probably got from the url address.

I have attempted somewhere around 4-6 blogs in the past. The only one with even the slightest success was my very first blog for a college english class.

I don't entirely know where I want this blog to take me, but I am inspired. I just finished watching "Julie and Julia" which I must say was more entertaining than I expected.

So what do you need to know about me? well I am 23 1/2. I work at a fast food restaurant. I spend my days eating, working, playing "Wizard 101" and "World of Warcraft" and sleeping.

I love to cook, but I don't have much of an audience for it. My parents, whom I live with, are culinarily ignorant. Oh my mom can cook boxed foods or very simple items like hamburgers. But when it comes to a nice rib-eye steak or chili, she just doesn't make the grade. I found that by high school, my cooking skills had surpassed hers. I don't get to cook a lot however. But I digress.

I spend a lot of time sleeping, but I am always up all night, every night. I like all different kinds of music except hardcore rap and disco. That being said, I have quite the affliction for 90's pop music and 80's rock music. I often say that I was born a decade too late because I love 80's rock soo much. lol.

From 8th grade until 2007 I wanted to be a teacher. In 2007, I left college due to a lack of financial ability. I realized that teaching (at least not math and history for middle school) was not what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. What do I want to do? I honestly have no idea. And that statement in itself has made me feel like a failure soo many times. But I keep reminding myself that my oportunity could be right around the next corner.

I guess my perfect job would be to combine my 2 loves, music and history, and teach a music history class. I find myself fascinated with certain historical events (e.g. WW2, the halocaust, sinking of the titanic, anything dealing with Rome)

My gaming life is very important to me. In Wizard 101, I lead a group called Late Night Wizards. We've grown over the past year from being a small group to a full sized clan with out very own website. In World of Warcraft I have a level 23 Tauren Hunter (which is by far the farthest I have ever gotten with a WoW character.

I titled this blog "my adult life" because I feel like a lost adult. For all intensive purposes, I am aen adult. But my lack of direction really makes me feel like I am still a kid.

I welcome any and all comments from any person out there. If you have something bad to say, SAY IT. Lord knows I could use the feedback. For now I must sleep, since I have to work today.
