Ms. Fix It to the rescue!

Hello friends :)

I am so proud of myself! Yesterday I was entirely Ms. Fix It. I fixed the shower curtain rod, and the ceiling tiles. Both of which no one else in my house was willing to fix. I always tend to be the go to person to fix stuff, which is kinda annoying. But at least its a way to make myself useful.

Needless to say, I plan to spend today relaxing before heading back to work Wednesday.

I watched both the old and the new Willie Wonka movies. The old one I think is better, but I think Johnny Depp was a great choice to play Wonka in the new one. I am a little agitated at some of the minute changes that were made. Such as Mike TeeVee now brings his father the teacher instead of his mother. I don't like how the Oompa Loompa seem more snooty than in the first movie. But I do like that they show Wonka meeting the Oompa Loompa.

I'm pretty wiped out so I'm gonna hit the hay a little earlier than normal. Everyone have a great night/day.

Why must things always be dumbed down??

Hello Friends,

So I started a new character on WoW this morning. The only character I didn't have was a human. I have played human before, but I must have deleted them. I guess its been awhile since I played human, because I remember all the defias guys in the starting area being agressive (red named), now they are passive (yellow). I used to spend so much time trying to figure out how to get the containers of grapes out of the vineyard without dying 10 times. Now I just have to walk in and get them. This seriously pisses me off. I worked hard to get other characters through that and now a 2 yr old could do it. I don't even get why they would make that area easier. Its the starting area, so you wouldn't be much higher than lvl 3 or 4 when doing this quest. I was also disappointed to see the Kobolds in the mine in the same area were also yellow. I hope this theme does not continue with other places near goldshire and wesfall.

In other news, I just upgraded my computers from AVG 9.0 free edition to AVG 2011 free edition. This edition has a new feature that I really like. It can scan your comp and let you know about things that could cause performance problems (like needing to defragment, missing links, registry errors, junk files). Once you do the scan, you can choose to download a PC tune-up program that will fix the problems. The first use of the tune-up is free, after that you can buy it for $30/year. This comp (big laptop) had over 3,000 issues and it fixed them all. My comp is running faster, but I did free up space from the hibernation files which could be the reason. My small laptop only had 769 issues. I love AVG and its the only anti-virus that I will use. I definitely recommend it, if anyone is in need of a good anti-virus for free.

Man am I tired. I think its the time change that is messing with me. And now I have really bad heartburn. :(

Everyone have a great night/day.

Back to work!

Hello Friends :)

I have done it! I finished Stargate SG-1, all 10 seasons. I started on August 29th and finished yesterday at 8PM. I have to say the ending sucked. It had no wrap up, almost like the writers new they were gonna do a movie afterward. Speaking of the movie (Stargate: The Ark of Truth), I absolutely loved it for every reason that the last episode annoyed me. It managed to finish the storyline, while letting me believe that the characters continued on and lived happily ever after.

That being said, after The Ark of Truth, I watched the second movie (Stargate: Continuum). This movie for me was stupid pointless and annoying. I never really enjoyed episodes where SG-1 went to a different time period, or an alternate universe. So the fact that this entire movie was in an alternate time AND reality, pissed me off. The movie was literally a piece of crap, if for nothing else than it didn't stay with its own storyline. Obviously Bal went back in time to change the future, but (follow me on this) Cam went back to 10 years before Bal to stop him from changing the future. But when he was successful in doing that, he should have disappeared. Simply because, with the past back to normal, he would have never had to come back to the past to save the future. We clearly see in the lockerroom the picture hanging in Cam's locker of him in the past with his grandfather. Now all this leads me to believe that not only did Bal alter time, but also moved them to a different reality. But that means that SG-1 didn't save their world, they saved another world. They are in fact still in the alternate reality. Which is why the movie Stargate: Continuum is a piece of crap movie.

To anyone who read all of that (and understood it), I applaud you, lol. In other news, I go back to work tonight. I am looking forward to it, if for no other reason that I will actually be making money. I have enjoyed this nice relaxing week off though. Maybe I'll thank my manager for giving me the 5 days off... or maybe not (she might make a habit of it). I'm gonna go back to work pumped and ready to kick some @ss. And on that note, I should get a good night (err morning) sleep.

Everyone have a great night/day.

Last Day Off!

Hello Friends :)

2 of my cookbooks arrived today :D The Crock-pot book and the How to cook if you don't know how book. The only one I am still waiting on is the Stove top book.

I've looked through the 2 that I have and have found some dishes that I'd like to try first. Having looked over most of the recipes, this will not be as easy as it should be. My parents (especially my dad) are very picky eaters. I wish there was a way I could make them eat without knowing what was in the dish :p

The 3 recipes that have stuck out to me are; Chocolate Coffee Bread Pudding, Chicken and Sweet Potato Stew, and a Triple layer no-bake cheesecake. The pudding has actual brewed coffee in it, which I find quite interesting.

Today is my last day off before going back to work so I am going to relax as much as humanly possible. Tonight will end up being movie night. I should be able to finish the last 3 episodes of stargate sg-1 (tear) so I should be able to watch the 2 stargate movies. Then I have Bridget Jones 2: The Edge of Reason coming via Netflix today. But then I also have an episode of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice to watch before tonights episodes. And then, after all of that, if I still have time left, I have 2 episodes of 90210 and one episode of Survivor to watch. *Sigh* sometimes I think I watch too much TV.

Everyone have a great night/day.

btw LNW officers, no meeting tomarrow night, obviously I am quite tied up.

grocery day!!! yay!!!

Hello friends :)

Update on the computer desk situation: the problem has been neutralized. its nice to be able to see the desk again. I should've took a before and after pic.

Yesterday was sit around in my sweats day. I did cook dinner. We had rib-eye steak and perogies :D it was absolutely devine. I spent most of the night catching up on shows that I had been neglecting (Hawaii 5-0, Survivor, Big bang theory). I got most of my list done just have stuff from last thursday and a couple of 90210 episodes left.

Cookbooks have still not arrived yet. Grr. Today is a busy day, its all about the shopping.

I'm about 5 episodes away from being done with Stargate SG-1. Its sad that its coming down to the end. I imagine that it was better to watch it as it was airing, since you didn't know it was the final end.

Elections didn't go so well from my view around here. The worse of 2 evils got the governor's chair. A lot of local school levies failed. This is the kind of election that makes me question whether or not the process actually works.

Its time for me to sleep. Everyone have a great night/day.

What to do with 5 whole days??!!??

Hello friends :)

Well, I get the next 5 days off, thanks to a manager who holds grudges on people. Just because I called off last Saturday (which by the way, wasn't even her shift), she cut my hours way down. Hopefully it is just for this week and things go back to normal next week.

I have no idea what to do with my 5 days off. I need to tackle my computer desk at some point, it looks likes one big pile of mail and dvd's lol. I feel like I should do more than just play video games and finish off Stargate SG-1. Speaking of, I just started the 10th and final season of SG-1. Next on the list will be the stargate movies and then on to Stargate Atlantis.

My cookbooks have yet to arrive so I can't do anything in that respect. Hopefully those arrive sometime this week.

Anyway, I best get some zzzz's. Everyone have a great night/day.

CELESTIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Friends,

I ended up buying yet another cook book yesterday. This one focuses on the basics of cooking (like slicing, dicing) and also practical stuff about what tools are necessary or unnecessary in a kitchen. Thanks to Carrie for suggesting it :)

I spent about 13 hrs straight Watching Stargate SG-1 and Playing WoW. I must have watched nearly an entire season of Stargate (I'm up to season 9).

In other news, Celestia is being released on open servers today for Wizard 101. I'm actually excited to see how different Celestia feels on the live realm. More realms hopefully means less people jumping in unexpectedly. Although I was getting used to that a little bit, and I have to say, I did get saved quite a few times from random people.

Needless to say, today I will not be watching any stargate today (at least not before work), and I will not be playing WoW. My focus will be on enjoying Celestia on my balance and storm wizards.

Everyone have a great night/day.

Project is a go!

Hello Friends :)

I am pleased to tell you all that the plan is now in motion. I found some really cheap cookbooks (1 crock pot, and 1 stove top) and are now awaiting their arrival. Overall I spent $11.00 including shipping. Actually the shipping costed more than the books did. They should arrive between now and Nov 9th.

I'm all excited about this. Maybe I can even incorporate some dishes into the upcoming holidays. Speaking of holidays, 2 of my favorite ones are coming up; Thanksgiving and Christmas :D Also coming up is my birthday in December.

I don't have definite plans yet for my b-day, but I at least want to go see a movie called "The Tourist" starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. In November, I hope to see the new Harry Potter movie.

In Wizard news, it looks like Celestia is going live on Wednesday. I don't think I'll be testing any more. If I do play Wiz 101 today it may be on live working on my myth/ice combo.

Everyone have a great night/day.

Hello friends :)

Had a little set back yesterday. I spent just a little bit more than I expected on groceries and game costs, so right now a cookbook will need to wait (probably just a few days). I hadn't found a cookbook I was sold on yet anyway. On a higher note, I did find 20 bucks that I had tucked away :)

I called off work yesterday. When I woke up my right knee was pretty weak. Had I gone to work, I would've been ok (once my adrenaline got moving), but I would have been hurting today, most likely worse. Over the course of the day, my knee got worse so I think I made the right call. I did go to Walmart which didn't help it any, but we needed food in the house.

Very important Nascar race today in Matinsville Virginia. My favorite driver #11 Denny Hamlin has the pole for the race. He's 2nd in points so hopefully with a win today he can reclaim the number one spot :)

Everyone have a great night/day.

P.S. GO BUCKS!!!!!

Mission: Cook

Hello friends :)

So I did some digging around online for cookbooks and found very few that actually appealed to me. I'm trying to focus on cookbooks that are specialized in Stove-top or Crock-Pot. What I may end up doing is buying one of each. Cause lets face it, who wants to eat from a crock pot every night. We do have a toaster over, so I'm gonna have to look into cookbooks for that as well.

I'm hoping to start this project within the next week or 2 (if I order the cookbooks online it may take at least a week to arrive). I am going to scour Walmart's books section to see what they have.

Again, if anyone knows of any good cookbooks please let me know.

Everyone have a great night/day :)

Changes

Hello Friends :)

I wanna start off by saying that the past few days I just haven't been feeling 100%. I don't know if its too much sleep, too many days off, or something else entirely. Anyway, last night I made an attempt to fix the problem by turning off the video games, and just sitting and enjoying a good movie.

You may remember from my very first blog post that the movie "Julie and Julia" is what started this whole blog. As I was watching the movie again I realized something that disturbed me about me and this blog. When I began, this blog was all about me; my daily life, fears, happiness, etc. Somewhere along the way, I convinced myself to write for the readers, for you all. So I began finding topic after topic to please the masses. The fact is, if they were topics I really wanted to write about, I wouldn't have had to work so hard to come up with them.

I'm not saying I want to go back to writing the same boring post every day. Believe me I agree that those posts were boring. But I can't just write about random things any more. Thats just not where I want this blog to take me.

I have an idea, but I would like your opinions on it. I know the basics of cooking, but most would say that I don't know how to cook. So... I was thinking of buying a cookbook and testing out my skills. Now we don't have an oven, so I'll have to work around that, but I think this is something I really could do.

Let me know what you all think. And if you know of a good cookbook, do tell! lol.

Everyone have an amazing day :)

Top 7 Things NOT to do in a horror movie

Hello friends :) I thought after the last time, that I would stop the Horror movie theme. However, all the good ideas I've had for these posts lately have been about horror movies. I absolutely promise that once halloween is over, you won't see anymore horror movie themed posts, lol.

So today's topic is the top 7 things NOT to do when being chased by a serial killer in a horror movie.

#1: Run Upstairs. This is seen in almost every horror movie, good or bad. This is one of the most illogical things a person can do. Your only escape from a higher level will be jumping out a window.

#2: Stopping to check for death. By this I mean, you've just severely knocked out your would-be killer. But instead of getting your rear end out of there, you stop to see if he/she is dead. Well, of course in any good horror movie, the killer is no where near dead and now you are thisclose to him/her.

#3: Not getting gas. We've all seen this one. The person is finally in the car getting away from the killer, only to run out of gas.

#4: Hiding in a room with no escape route. This is almost as good as going upstairs. Honestly, how did you think you were gonna get out? Put a hole in the wall? lol.

#5: Not turning around at the right moments. This is a classic one also. I don't know how many times I have been watching a movie and screamed at the screen "HE'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!"

#6: Running back to where you started. Honestly IF I was a serial killer, assuming I've lost your trail, logically I am going back to where you were first.

#7: Go to a deserted place in the middle of nowhere, on or near Oct 31 or Friday 13th. Hoestly, you could avoid all these problems by just not going in the first place. *shrug*

Well, thats all I've got. Everyone have a great night/day.

Top 5 movies that I have to watch over and over

Hello friends :) Today's topic is the Top 5 Movies that I have to watch again and again.

#1 Almost Famous: This movie is fantastic if you like 70's/80's rock. Its based on the experiences of a band named Stillwater. After watching this movie, I looked up Stillwater on myspace, and I discovered some really awesome songs. There's a lot of good people in this movie. Jason Lee (my name is earl), Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Zooey Deschanel (sp?), and many others.

#2 Clueless: When I was a teen, I had to watch this movie EVERY DAY! (sometimes more than once a day) Even today, I still love this movie. Its just so stupid that its funny.

#3 St. Elmo's Fire: I was born just a little too late to be enthralled with the 80's teen movies, but I did make it a point to watch the major ones. I love this movie so much!

#4 Pearl Harbor: I love Ben Affleck so its no shock that I love this movie. I'm a bit of a history buff, so the historical aspect also appeals to me.

#5 Secret Window: This movie combines 2 of my favorite things; Johnny Depp and Stephen King. I read the "book" (its really a short story) before seeing the movie, but I love them both.

Any of these movies on your list? Whats a movie that you watch over and over?

Top 5 places I'd like to go someday

Hello friends :)

There is a show that used to be on the History Channel called "Cities of the Underworld". The host goes to all sorts of different places (both in and out of the US) and explores the remains of underground cities, tunnels, things of that sort. I was watching a few episodes tonight and it inspired my blog post for today. Today's topic is 5 places I'd like to go before I die.

#1 Rome: I studied Latin for 5 years and you can't do that without learning about Roman culture and history. I would kill to see the ancient Roman ruins. Without a doubt definetly number one choice.

#2 NYC: At some point when I was a kid, I was convinced that I was gonna live in NYC someday. Now I don't think living there is a great idea, but I would love to see the city in person.

#3 California: Specifically L.A. I certainly would want to live there, but its definetly a must see place.

#4 Washington DC: Some of you know that I have already been to DC about 10 years ago, but I would love to go back. I was there with my school group and we were so rushed through all the good monuments. The coolest thing from that trip was that I stood 2 feet away from where President Lincoln was shot at Ford Theatre.

#5 Hawaii: Now this is the one place on this list that I would like to live. Everything just seems so different there, different culture, different way of life. Nice warm air, quite the good life.

So whats your place you want to see?

Top 5 worst horror movies

Hello Friends :)

In keeping with the halloween season, today's post is the 5 worst horror movies. I limited it too 5 because, if given enough time, I could probably get 25 or 30 lol.

#1 Halloween Part 3: This movie has absolutely nothing to do with the Michael Myers story line. Not to mention, the movie itself makes no sense. This is a case of the production company making the movie without thinking about the viewer at all.

#2 Friday the 13th Part 9 (aka Jason Goes To Hell): This movie does have Jason in it, but its actually his "spirit" jumping from body to body and using each body to kill others. The story is so far fetched that its borderline stupid. Any real Jason fan is disgusted with this movie.

#3 The Omen (all 3 parts): I sat and watched al 3 in a row, because I felt that I should at least watch them to say I did. What a waste of 6 hours of my life! Seriously, these might have been somewhat scary when they were made, but I found them boring and not the least bit scary.

#4 The Blair Witch Project: I have seen parts 1 and 2 and I was disappointed with both. I really want to like the original for its ability to be different, but that d*** girl crying in the woods the entire time is just too much. I bet that when this was in theatres it provided enough shaky camera movements to be relatively scary. But the girl just makes it unwatchable for me.

#5 The Last Exorcism: This movie was just released a few months ago. I saw it opening night and it was aweful! Its billed as a horror movie, but was a documentary style gore fest. Only once did my mom jump in her seat. And only once or twice was there a sense that it was actually a horror movie. The girl playing the lead really needs acting lessons, her "demon" times were only believable once in the entire movie, and that was just from a creepy smile.

Like I said there are probably a lot of other bad horror movies out there, but this is my top 5 worst. if you have one you think is worse than these, let me know.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Well I finally hit lvl 58! Only problem now is I am having a hard time getting even close to beating the bosses I need to beat for my spells. If anyone has any tips for the bosses for the storm and balance spell quests they would be greatly appreciated.

Top 10 Horror Movies

Hello friends :) Ever since I was about 6 yrs old, I have loved Horror movies. So as you can imagine Halloween is right up there on the list of fav holidays. So todays post will be about the top 10 halloween movies that I have seen.

#1 Friday the 13th Part 1: I have to say, this is the definitive horror movie. the friday series as a whole is my favorite, and nothing beats the original movie. The remake was decent, but did not live up to the original.

#2 Halloween Part 1: This is the movie that made Jamie Lee Curtis a scream queen. I think this movie has that boogyman right next door premise that makes it awesome. The other movies in the series are good (well, most of them are), but (as you'll see a common theme with me) nothing beats the original.

#3 Nightmare on Elm St: This is one of the few where I don't like the original the best. Part 4 is by far the goriest, but part 2 outshines 1. From part 5 on, it becomes more plot driven than the other movies, which is bad for a slasher. The much later movies (Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare and Wes Cravens New Nightmare) certainly had a better budget than others so they are more visually appealing (not necessarily better).

#4 Freddy vs. Jason: This combines 2 of my favorite slashers so of course I love this movie. I also love that it digs into (kinda literally) Jason's back story. Not to mention the kills in this movie are downright awesome. This movie adds a whole new demension to both Freddy and Jason. I hope that a part 2 can get moving, because I would love to see it.

#5 Pet Semetary: I love Stephen King. After seeing the movie a half-dozen times, I went back and read the book. I was shocked that the book was more gory than the movie. I literally almost threw up when the "Pascal" character is described, but in the movie he's not too bad. That being said, this movie really captures the essence of Stephen King's demented mind.

#6 Scream: This is my favorite non-80's horror movie. I love that I get so many chances to yell "HE'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!!!" at the tv screen. another thing that I love about this series is that they always put a twist at the end so the killer is not who it seemed to be.

#7 I Know What You Did Last Summer: This movie (and its sequel) have the same appeal to me that Scream does. I can laugh at the stupidity of the people. What makes this one different is that the acting is much better. Each of the stars of this 90's slasher have gone on to have very successful careers.

#8 Dark Night of the Scarecrow: This is one of my dad's favorites, which means I have seen it a lot. For its time and budget it is actually a really good movie. I find some older movies (70's and 80's) hard to watch sometimes because of the low-budgetness of the movie. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat.

#9 The Shining: Another great Stephen King movie. This movie creeps me out a lot. I've seen it many times and still don't have the understory quite figured out.

#10 Hocus Pocus: Now I know this is a kids movie, and isn't scary at all. But it is a very funny movie and does a great job at not stereotyping witches. I try to watch this at least once a year.

Well, thats the 10. Anyone out there completely disagree with a choice? Is your favorite not up there? Tell me about it. Maybe you'll find me a new favorite.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, KI finally fixed the Hydraulic Channeler (or it was my lucky day). So I am now up to lvl 57! One more level to new spells!!!! I can't wait.

Worst way to die?

Hello friends,

I found a blog topic generator and used it to find todays topic. I must say that I passed over several topics before finding this topic. Its not a topic I would have chosen out of the blue, but when I saw it, I was interested.

The topic for today is worst ways to die.

Now as I do with most topics, I see this one 2 different ways. The ultimate answer for the worst way to die is to die alone. I hope that some day when I die, someone I love is right there next to me. I want it to be quick and painless.

The other way to see it is the literal meaning. Personally, I think that anything where you die slowly is bad. That being said, being tortured to death is probably the worst way. I'm sure most people would say being shot or stabbed. I'm sure stabbing would be pretty bad, but guns are too quick.

Tomarrow's topic will be the best ways to die... haha jk.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
So the Hydraulic Channeler is still broke :( I spent most of yesterday furnishing my house for the halloween house tour. My balance girl had to sell most of her extra stuff (pet snacks, tc's) to just buy the house so I had to use the 49k that my death girl had and I had to take about half of my fire guys money.

The only thing I can't find is dungeon stuff. I have the thing that you put your head and hands through (cant remember the name) and I have bones galore, but I saw someone have chains on the wall and I would like some of those. I would also like one of those power station things like in Katz Lab. If anyone knows where I can find these items, it would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like tonight might not be so busy at work, HS football is an away game, so everyone will come through before I get to work (hopefully). Everyone have a great night/day.

JJ's?? not worth it!

Hello friends :)

As promised via my fb page, I will explain why I am glad I didn't get the JJ's job.

Yesterday we decided to try JJ's for dinner. When we walked in, it was immediately very loud. Not one noise, but a combination of sounds. That building has horrible accoustics, combined with the louder than necessary music, made the noise too much. Talking in a normal tone, I could barely hear my parents.

So I order our food. First off, they have no warm drinks, only pop. They will regret that in the winter. So my parents had to drink pop (I planned to anyway). The food was certainly made fast. But how could it not be with so many employees working. There seriously must have been about 12-15 employees in a fairly small space.

Anyway, we get our food and set at the only available table. First off, each of our breads were cold (not refridge cold, but definetly not warm). Second, my dads bread was pretty hard on the ends. Since they were so busy, we just decided to buck up and eat what we were given. I had the Hunter's club with no tomato or lettuce. It was an ok sub, if you like cold subs (I don't).

I had cherry coke to drink and I wish I hadn't. The syrup content was way to high (which from my experience is Coca cola's problem, not JJ's). My dad didn't like the taste of his sprite, but it tasted fine to me.

Overall, I won't be going back anytime soon. I hope that it was just because they were busy, but I don't think I wanna spend $20 for mediocre food, when I can go to work and get hot food for half the price.

And I certainly don't want to work in an overcrowded, chaotic work environment. Those kids were running into each other the entire time. In my opinion, if they would've reduced that crew by about 4, it would've been much more efficient.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In Wizard news, the moon portal problem was fixed for me. But now the Hydraulic Channeler is broken. I did get to lvl 56 though. I started working on some sides to kill time. Hopefully the channeler will be fixed by tonight.

I need your help! Please :)

Hello Friends, today I would like you to help me out with a couple of things.

First, LNW has a pod cast coming up and I am unsure what my segment should pertain to. The obvious choice would be celestia. But is there maybe anything else out there in the spiral that you'd like me to talk about? I'll take questions or phrases or both :) BTW I am sorta on a time crunch for it so within the next couple of days please :)

Second, I am looking for good movies for my netflix list. I love romantic comedies, horror movies, some action movies, kids movies, and some dramas. If you know of any good movies out there, let me know.

In the test spiral, I hit lvl 54 XD However, I have gotten stuck with the moon portal quest. Does anyone happen to know what pet is awarded for that quest? Hopefully KI fixes the quest soon.

Today is my day off so after some early afternoon errands, I will be planted in my Kitchen playing wiz. I'll do sides if the portal quest isn't fixed. If I finish all the sides I'll go over to live and do Halloween stuff :) (Including buying a house to haunt!) Everyone have a great night/day.

Eeeww bugs!

Hello friends :)

I was journeying in Celestia today and I came across 2 very unusual bugs. I'll start by saying that I was running both my gm storm and gm balance.

I was battling some fire guys when my storm died, so I fled and attempted to port back. Well when I ported, it should have put me in the same battle that my balance was already in. Instead it put my storm in the next battle ring over.

The other bug was that for a short time my balances' name showed as "Angel" when her name is Jennifer Pixieblood. It looked fine from her point of view, but my storm saw Angel. It stayed that way for a little while then at some point went back to normal.

I'm getting the hang of running balance and storm together. Its kinda hard "balancing" my balance between attack and support.

I gotta say, Celestia is considerably harder than I expected. I love the lvl 58 spells that I have seen so far. I wish the Genie was balance though :(

Anyone out there gotten any good bugs in Celestia?

Celestia!!!

Hello friends :)

Today's topic is CELESTIA!!!

Ok so its finally here (in the test realm), and to be honest, I am a little underwhelmed about it. Maybe its that we had to wait for so long, but I just am not super excited like I should be. Nonetheless, I'd like to go over the patch notes and give my thoughts. I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts in the comments area.

The biggest thing for us GM's is the raise of the lvl cap from 50 to 60. Most of my wizards stopped questing at lvl 50 to save exp pts for when the actually counted. This included not turning in the DS Zeke quest and the book quest.

With the cap raise, comes rank 8 spells (available at lvl 58). I am very excited about this, I wish we could see them before we get to lvl 58 or at least be given the names.

The next item is the new secondary schools. Another thing I have done with my wizards is hold back on using my training points. This was another move that turned out good. I've experienced the moon schools first spell, gobbler transformation, and I love it. At first I thought that the spells weren't gonna be powerful enough to be of any help. But given the right spell at the right time, it proves quite effective. And I can see how the moon school may dominate pvp.

I have also experienced the star schools first spell. These spells come in hand for any duel (PvP or PvE). I especially like the empowerment. This gives an extra pip for every rank 4 or higher spell cast against you. This makes me wonder if it works with satyr. I'm thinking 900 health AND a pip sounds awesome lol.

I haven't experienced the sun school yet. However, I have used tc cloaks before and they are very effective in pvp.

The next item on the list is the critical and block statistics. Obviously KI needed a fix to the status quo system. We could get pretty darn close to 100% Power pips (life could get over 100%). Adding new spells in, something had to change. I gotta be honest though, I don't understand the critical hit and block hit yet. I get the concept, but I don't really see how it meshes with the pp% system.

The next item is reagent changes. First I LOVE that we can now buy and sell in bulk. My fingers will get some rest. And I also Love that we can now put reagents into the shared bank. this will make higher level crafting much easier. This was also done with pet snacks, and that is much appreciated as well.

The next item is a deck update to prevent you from selling your last/only deck. It also prevents you from going into battle without one equipped. This change doesn't really effect me, but I suppose its good for new players.

A few other things that I liked were that the max gold amt was raised to 200k. Also the bazaar now has 500 of each item instead of 100. I like that the second chance chests can now supply to your bank. Life henchman now heal you :) Deleted wizards no longer show up in your friends list, which should empty a little space. Several chat exploits we're fixed and I am happy to say this does not include say numbers like third forth etc.

There were a few things that I really didn't like about this patch. First, players can no longer use /r to speak to people not on your friends list. This was a great way to add someones second wiz and is a real shame for this to go away. I also don't like that they took away the preview of a newly hatched egg in the dye shop. I thought this was very handy.

So yeah, those are my thoughts on the celestia patch (test realm). I haven't seen much of celestia yet, but it seems pretty cool. Like I said earlier, let me know what you think about the new stuff in the comments area.

Everyone have a great night/day.

Seasons

Hello friends :)

Today's topic is from my friend Mary. She asks: What is your favorite season?

Well, the short answer to that is spring. But as you all know, I simply cannot live with just a short answer to these types of questions.

Spring is my favorite because I love that first day where its warm enough to leave the coat un-buttoned/zipped. I love how everything is green. And the birds are back! Its nice to hear the birds after the long winter.

My second fav season is fall. I love the trees changing colors. And I love when the air is just crisp enough to make you wear a sweater. Summer is alright, but often it's too hot for my taste. As far as winter is concerned, I love the snow. However, having to walk to work in it is not fun. And I really can't stand the cold.

75 degrees is a good temp for me. Not too hot or too cold. Sleeping wise, anything between 40 and 70 is fine. Above 70 and I'm sweating like a pig, under 40 I am freezing to death, lol.

This fall has me really concerned. We've already had a few nights close to freezing, and its not even Halloween yet. Normally right around then is when it really gets cold. I remember one year when I was small, we were at the halloween parade and it was as cold as if it was the christmas parade, lol. I'm concerned that winter will be really bad. It gets really bad running a drive thru window when its 15 degrees outside. I'm cold just sitting here thinking about it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its gonna be a very very long weekend. Last time I knew, we were 2 people short for tonight, and 2 people short for tomarrow night. I hope my boss doesn't schedule me at 4PM sun, cause I may not have the energy to make it.

Everyone have a great night/day.

new fb features

Hello peeps :)

Today I found an interesting article that I would like to share with you all.

The article itself can be found here: http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/6/facebook-now-allows-you-to-download-your-information/

Basically Fb now has a feature that allows you to download your fb profile into a zip folder on your computer. You can then do anything from uploading it to another social site, upload it to your own webpage, etc.

I gathered from the article that this is a big step for fb. They apparently have been very guarded concerning security.

I have to say that I don't think this is a good idea. Looking ahead I see hackers not only getting into your acct, but being able to download your info to use later. And I also think by the time everyone who matters finds out how bad of an idea it really is, it will be too late.

In another article, I read about fb creating a "groups" feature. I like this concept very much, especially the group chat. I am interested however, to see how they deal with 13 and under age group concerning this feature. I'm inclined to hope for either parental permission or no access at all for that age group.

What do you all think about the new features? Love 'em? Hate 'em? You know you want to comment, so spill your guts! :)

Everyone have a great night/day.

funny thing happened while making cookies

Hello Friends :) Today I'd like to share a funny story with you all. I was talking with my dad this morning and it reminded me of this.

Many years ago, I had found a recipe for cookies (I think Peanut butter cookies). Anyway, I decided to make them right away. Keep in mind I've never been great with baking.

One of the ingredients was brown sugar. The only brown sugar we had on hand, we'd had for a while. So basically is was one large very hard chunk. But I was determined to use it anyway.

Well, I had to break it apart right? well I pounded on it again and again, with no luck. So then I got a butter knife out and attepted to "chisle" the clump.

Once again, I was having zero luck. At this point my dad jumped in to help (if thats what you wanna call it). We decided that we needed more force on the knife, so we got out the hammer.

After pounding with the clump on the table a few times, we decided to move to the floor to not make as much noise. Note: it was on a plate, not right on the floor.

The plates we use on a daily basis aren't china or ceramic. I don't think they're plastic either. Anyway, if you drop them they don't break easily (or so we thought).

So dad and I are hammering away on a knife which is digging into a chunk of brown sugar, which is on a non breakable plate, on our kitchen floor.

At some point we give up and when we attempt to pick up the plate, its in 2 pieces. All that hammering broke the plate. My dad and I cracked up laughing, my mom however, wasn't so happy with us. To this day we still crack up when we think about it.

BTW those cookies never got made :)

I hope you all enjoyed my little story. Everyone have a great night/day.

Power Leveling? No thank you!

Hello friends :) Once again my friend Mary has come through with an awesome topic idea. Today's topic is Power leveling: good or bad?

I guess I will start off by explaining what power leveling is for those who don't know. Power Leveling is when you take a low level wizard and run it through a high level dungeon (or more than one dungeon) with one or more high level wizards. the purpose is to gain upwards of 20 levels before leaving wizard city.

From my experience, power leveling is not a good idea. At least one of my wizards have been power leveled. I find that you often hit level 50 long before you reach Malistaire, meaning if you want to continue on to malistaire, you won't get credit for some of the quests. Another down side is you will run into problems with you school spell quests. The quests are designed to happen near the time when you are in that area (so you won't get a spell quest in MooShu while you are still in Marleybone). By power leveling you hit the spell quest level before you are ready for it.

There is an upside to power leveling however. It does make questing considerably easier. Going through wizard city at level 20 is a very different experience.

But like I said earlier, I am not a power leveling fan. I think it takes a lot of fun out of the game. And you'll run into school spell quest issues. But if you wanna try power leveling, I say only do it with one wizard. If you don't like the way its turning out, just delete and start over.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been questing my ice and myth together, and I love the pairing. I was struggling with both schools individually, but together I am moving right along. Both wizards just hit level 45 and got new gear :D They are up to the necropolis in DS. In GH, Ice is almost up to ravens, myth is ready to do Jotun. I'm excited to be making GMs #9 and 10 (this will also give me one is every school).

I work 8-close today then get Tuesday off :) Oh do i need Tuesday off! I am exhausted. I'm hoping to hear from JJ's this week. Everyone have a great night/day :D

blah... work again... blah

Hello friends :) I have officially run out of blog topics, so I need your help. Send me any and all of your ideas.

I haven't heard back from JJ's yet. I don't really expect to hear anything until at least Monday.

It was such a long night at work. They really need to fire the people who do a no-call no-show. Someone did that last night. He's a nice enough guy, but I hope they fire him. I worked 5-close which felt really weird since I am used to 4-close. Luckily I got to work sandwiches all night.

Today is 4-close. Given the crew that is "supposed" to work tonight, we should be golden. But I know one was trying to get out of her shift so, it might be harder than I'd like.

In w101, I am currently working on both my ice and myth at the same time, they are both right around lvl 45, so hopefully tonight I can get there and get new gear :)

I'm sleepy so I best get to bed. everyone have a great night/day :) and remember to send those blog ideas in :)

Hello Friends :)

Todays topic is a little more personal than I normally get. One of Stephen's questions, on his list, was whether or not there was a special someone in my life. I think he asked this question assuming there was, and thinking that he knew who it was.

To be honest, no. Right now there is no special someone. There was, and yes he was/is in the spiral. But when trust is lost, or even the possibility of betrayal introduced, it ruins whatever there was. I don't know that I actually was betrayed, but it makes sense, and I would have been stupid enough to let it happen.

I still speak with him occaisionally, but things are really not what they used to be. He has not been confronted because that won't change anything. Stuff happened, it messed with all of us and we are all moving on. I don't want to tarnish names, or falsly accuse, that why I am not providing details. I guess if you want to know the story, message me on fb.

If you understand nothing else, know this: I was falling, very very much so. Now I am picking up the pieces.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the interview went well. The menu test was very unusual. It was a blank piece of paper. I was asked to put the numbers, names, and ingredients for every sub and sandwich. I can't even tell if I missed any. Now I am just waiting for the email from the GM on whether or not I got it. I really, really want this job. Its time for a change.

Everyone have a great night/day.

Preparing for my interview :)

Hello Friends, Today I'm going to deviate from my go-to list and wing this post. :)

I have had a really weird experience with this whole application process for JJ's. What ever happened to putting up a help wanted sign and having people fill out applications lol.

First of all, it seems weird to email my resume. I almost sent it as an attachment, but I saw something on a website that said to never do that. Luckily the article told me how to format the resume for email readability.

It also seems weird to me to not have spoken (in person or on the telephone) to anyone from JJ's. I expected that after recieving my resume I would be called. I guess email is easier, it just seems really weird. The manager has been really good about getting back to me within just a few hours, which puts me more at ease knowing that he is on top of things.

You know, I keep saying he but it could be she. I honestly can't tell from the emails. I guess I just expect the GM to be a male (how sexist of me, I know).

So basically I have less than 36 hrs left to learn the entire menu. I have the numbers down (ie #1 is the Pepe). Now I am on the hard part of knowing what ingredients are on what sandwiches. The GM stressed that this would be a very important part of the interview so I really need to do this right. I made myself flash cards for every single thing lol. The ironic thing is I am remembering the bigger sandwiches pretty well. Its the simple ones that are giving me more problems.

Last night at work, my mind drifted for a minute or two and I found myself running through the numbers and names lol.

I gotta work 4-8 today then come home and study, study, and study. Its been over 3 years since I've had to study for anything, and I remember now why I didn't like it :)

Everyone have a great night/day.

Cook? who da cook? Oh! Me da cook :D

Hello friends :) Today's post is from my friend Mary. She asks What is your favorite meal to eat? And if you like to cook, what is your favorite meal to cook? If for some reason, you had to have a last meal, what would it be and why?

Those are such great questions Mary, thank you again for the idea.

Favorite meal? hmm thats tough. I love to eat. I absolutely love Pizza, but cheese ravioli with tomato sauce is just too good to pass up :) I used to eat chef boyardee brand all the time as a kid, but it gives me heartburn now. But of course that was meat Ravioli, cheese is a million times better. Some of the best ravioli I've ever had was at Olive Garden.

I do love to cook, I just don't have the energy to do it enough. I'm not the best cook in the world, but I am better than my mom is. My issue is that unless I have made it a lot, I must have the recipe in front of me. Winging it does not work well for me in the kitchen.

My favorite meal to cook is "Hamburger Pie". Before you all assume it shepard's pie, its not. Shepard's pie has potatoes, Hamburger pie does not. This dish I have been making for years. I've never followed the recipe word for word (mainly cause I hate Onions). Every time I make it I find something new to add to it. Essentially its just Hamburger, Green Beans and Tomato Paste. Just recently I've discovered that ranch dressing adds quite the flavor, and takes some tartness from the tomato paste. The flavor in the dish mostly comes from seasoning the hamburger as it is browning, and again after it has been drained of its grease.

I genuinly don't get to cook enough. I won't cook on work days because I like to conserve my energy, but I try to do the cooking at least once a month.

If I had to eat a last meal, I guess it would be a Domino's pizza with Pineapple, Pepperoni, and extra cheese (And some Cherry Coke to go with it).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I have heard back from JJ's GM. He told me that he has no interviews scheduled for Friday, so that would be the best day to do mine. He told me to pick the time so I am just waiting for him to confirm it. He said there would be a sandwich test during the interview, so I made flash cards to help me learn the sandwiches :) I really, really hope I get this job. I found it a little odd that he said he didn't have any interviews scheduled for Friday. I think that means either they aren't getting a lot of applicants or they are being very picky about who gets an interview. Either way, that leaves me in a good position.

I work tonight 8-close. Shouldn't be too bad though. Everyone have a great night/day.

Biggest Accomplishment?

Hello friends :) Today's topic is: What is your biggest accomplishment so far in your life, and how has it impacted your life?

To me this answer is so easy. My biggest accomplishment is me.

As a kid, I worried about anything and everything. I think a lot of that centered around my dad being drunk a lot and fighting with my mom (verbal not physical). It is a long process, but I am finally getting to a point where I can just let stuff go. To those people that don't hold stuff in, let me tell you, it is very hard to let go. I am not totally ok, but I have come a very long way.

I mentioned my fear of rejection in my fears post. The more I interact with others, the more self-confident I become. Self-confidence has been a big issue with me in the past. But I have found that having people on my side supporting me and my decisions helps a lot with that.

I know that I still have a lot of work to do on me, but I know that I am surrounded by the kinds of people that will help me the most.

I took a big step today. I emailed my first official resume, for a job opening near my home. The place is literally 5 minute walk away. If I could drive, it would be a waste of gas anyway lol. I've been watching them build the building since they started, just waiting for word that they were finally looking for employees. Luckily my mom saw the ad in the classifides. I'm glad that they didn't do open interviews. I think most won't take the time to do a resume. Hopefully I can be part of the crew in place when they open. If I get this job, I won't hesitate to quit Wendy's.

The old me would have done nothing and just stayed with my sucky job. Heck, even that job was offered to me, I didn't actively go out and seek it. Had I not been given that opportunity, I would probably still not have a job, and just be sitting around doing nothing all day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watched Silence of the Lambs last night. It was much better than I thought it was going to be. Can't wait to see the sequel :) Today is another day off so even though it is raining, hopefully it turns into a nice day. Everyone have a great night/day.

just one thing??

Hello friends :) Today's topic is: If you could have just one thing in life what would it be and why?

To some people, my choice would be the obvious one, to others it would be the worst one I could pick.

My choice is Money. It honestly pains me to pick money, cause I know that money won't make me happy. But the thing is, so many problems in my life, right now in this moment, could be fixed with money. I'm not a greedy person, and thats why it's so hard for me to pick money.

I would never want to be omg rich, having lots of money changes people. But everytime I make a bigger than normal paycheck and get to put that little extra away in the bank, I feel a little bit happier.

I guess its just that at the very most growing up, we were at the very bottom of middle class. More than once we moved below the poverty level. We had times that were really, really good. Both of my parents were working, and making decent money. But we had quite a few times that were really, really bad. Having no electricity or gas in the middle of winter. You know its bad when you wear your coat all day but never leave the house.

So thats my choice; Money. Love me or hate me for it. Its a tough call to make, but its the one that needs made.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like I'm getting Silence of the Lambs today. It was supposed to be Season 1 of Cities of the Underworld but I must have missed it by one day, cause it now says "short wait". I am impressed though that the system did have the brains to skip over season 2 as well, seeing as how I wasn't getting season 1.

I get Monday and Tuesday off. Monday is bank and shopping day :) then Tuesday is all mine to just sit back and rrrrreeelllllaaaaaxxxx :D ahhhhh...

everyone have a great night/day.

Stranded on an Island? I got what you need!

Hello Friends,

Before I get to today's topic, I'd like to make note of something. I often reply back when one of you comments below. So if you comment, you may want to check back to see if I have responded.

Now on to today's topic. Today's question is: If you could only have 2 items on an island (they cannot be used to rescue you or help you off of the island) what items would you pick and why?

This is actually pretty easy if you think about it from a survival point of view. Now obviously I can't drink the salt water, and having a fire to cleanse the water would be against the rescue rule. So I would require glasses (i.e. reading glasses not drinking glasses) and a pot/pan (or perhaps a skillet would work better). I am assumeing that the island already has some sort of plant life that can be used in conjuction with the glasses, to create heat (wouldn't need an actual fire just enough heat to cook with). So a pair of glasses and a skillet :)

If there was no plant life on the island then I would say a large rimmed hat and a copy of War and Peace to read (I've never read it but I heard its really long :p)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Work was soo bad last night. *sigh* I have to turn around and do it all over again today. remind me again why I work? oh yeah thats right the small measly money... alright then. I better get to sleep so everyone have a great night/day.

PS I am running out of topics so please keep them coming.

Drive thru manners

Hello Friends,

I know that I talk about work a lot here. But ever since I began this blog, I have been itching to do a blog post about Drive thru manners (both customer and employee). So I have decided to do that today.

Now this list could probably go on for days, but I'll try to shorten it up.

1. Know what kinds of items are on the menu. Just because one location has a product, it doesn't mean they all do.

2. Try not to use general terms when asking for a size. Saying "regular" size is relative. If you are unsure how the sizes are labeled, ask by saying "what sizes do your french fries come in?"

3. Don't waste our time. This may seem a bit crass, but asking me to wait while you finish a phone conversation is down-right rude.

4. Yelling so that we can hear you is probably not necessary. Again I only know my stores system but if you can hear me fine, chances are I can hear you. Blowing my eardrum by yelling into the speaker is really unnecessary. If I can't hear you, I will let you know.

5. Consider just how much you are ordering. Any order over $20 can be considered a large order (under $20 can be large if it is mostly dollar menu items). Expecting us to finish a $20 order in the same time as a $5 is stretching it a bit. I may even suggest any order that is over $40, call ahead and let them know you are coming so that they can be better prepared.

6. A sub-point of #5. Ordering 10 sandwiches (or fries or nuggets) is going to take us a few minutes. Please be patient.

7. I have no patience for rudeness. Even on the worst days I try to put on a happy face, but if you are outright rude to me, don't expect me to be overly joyed to serve you. Keep in mind that in most places a manager will be able to hear anything you say, and if I am being rude, I will be told about it.

8. One of my biggest pet peeves is people not listening when I speak to them. So often I say "I'll be with you in just one moment" only to have them begin to order. I have a manager who, in this situation, will let the customer get all the way done ordering, then ask for their order. My favorite is when I am asking a choice (so chocolate/ vanilla, or small/medium/large) and the response I get is "yes". Yes doesn't answer my question.

9. A side to #8 are people who begin ordering the minute they land on the speaker. Now its fine for places who run more that one person on the drive thru as my store does during the day. But with just one person, chances are we aren't ready for your order right when you get to the speaker.

10. So many times I have had a screaming kid in my ear, with no one getting him/her quiet. Of course I also get the opposite of the parent screaming at the child to shut up, which doesn't help. Try to get an idea of what your children will eat before arriving so that there is no need for a discussion.

11. Adding more items after leaving the speaker. I understand forgetting to order for a person or missing one little item. But doubling the size of your order is a little rediculous. If that many people are being ordered for, it may be the best idea to make a list.

If anyone took offense to any of those, that was not my intent. I simply wanted to make light of some things that I bet some of you do. I suspect some of you may have suggestions directed at employees, I welcome such suggestions and ask that you please comment them below.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight is LNW group meeting and our GM hunt event afterwards. its gonna be a very long day at work so I best get to bed. Everyone have a great night/day.

TV Fall Premier Week

Hello folks :) Considering that this is fall television premier week, I decided that todays question would be the most appropriate one. Todays topic, submitted by Stephen, is: If you could bring back one TV show, what would it be and why?

I watch a lot of tv. And even though I have favorites that I tune in for every year, I do try to watch a few new ones to see what's new. I've seen a lot of good shows get axed too early, and I've seen bad shows stay too long. This decision is very tough.

I'll start by saying that I will not pick a show that has run its course (like Lost). Now I would love to still have lost on the air, but it was given its ending and any attempt at a return would fail miserably.

While thinking on this topic, I am reminded of a few shows that I truely enjoyed watching. The first of those being Moonlight. It was on CBS and it was canceled in its 1st season. The lead guy is now on CBS' Hawaii 5-0. It was a good show, but about a year too early. Soon after its cancellation, the vampire craze really caught on. However, I don't think that it could sustain itself with todays programing (specifically the CW's Vampire Diaries and HBO's True Blood).

The next show I thought of was CBS' The Class. This show was one of their half-hour comedies that I think they do really well on. If I remember correctly, the show was cancelled middle of 1st or 2nd season. I found the show to be halarious, I guess others didn't. However, I find that there are now too many of these half-hour shows popping up on today's television. You've got How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Cougar Town, Community, Parks and Recreation, etc.

There is one last show that I think beats them all. It is/was ABC's Eli Stone. This show lasted more than one season, and from what I remember, was pretty popular. It was funny and dramatic, and just plain awesome. ABC cancelled the show rather quickly with no real explanation. There were even episodes left that didn't air. ABC was reportedly supposed to run those during the summer after cancellation, but they never did. The show had a lot of good life lessons and if I could bring any show back, that would be it.

I'm excited about television tonight; Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice all premier tonight.

I should get "Riding in Cars with Boys" today via netflix. I haven't seen it in a while, but its a great movie. I'll be in the spiral today at some point working on the Selena quest and cleaning up some unfinished business so you'll probably find me there. Everyone have a great night/day.

Netflix, how ever do I choose?

Today post question came from my friend Mary. She asked how I determine which movies to place on my Netflix list. She indicated that she is always moving the movies around depending on her mood.

Initially the movies on my list are ones that I have seen a trailer for, or in some cases seen the entire movie before. Other movies that make the list are simply browsing Netflix, or using the Netflix recommendation feature.

On the recommendation feature: I find that it is often hit and miss, I've found great movies through it and horrible ones. The more movies you rate, the better chance you have of getting a good recommendation.

Now as far as order is concerned, I too tend to go based on mood. However, I force myself to leave the top few movies in tact. I follow those up with a tv show that I intend watch at some point. Following the tv show is a very long list of movies that have not put in order.

I check my list every few days to see what the next one is. If I am not paticularly up for that kind of movie, I may move one up from the bottom.

"Silence Of the Lambs" has been on my list since I got netflix but I keep putting movies above it. Not to mention it took me weeks to finally get "Rose Red". But aside from those examples, my list doesn't change much. I suppose once I finish the tv show, I will have to realign (sp?) whats left of the list. Currently I have 38 movies (about 8 of those spots are the tv show) on my list.

Side note: I use the instant watch feature a lot. I also maintain a list for those movies as well using the same method.

Next movie should arrive Thursday and it is "Riding in Cars With Boys"

Back to work today. Everyone have a great night/day.

Who would I have dinner with and why?

Hello blog readers :) Todays topic is: If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would it be and why?

That person would be my maternal grandmother. She died when I was 2 years old. I actually have memories from when she was still alive. My mom and I would go to her house every morning and I would get to wake her up.

I was at her house the day she died and I remember a lot from that specific day. I know she would be proud of me. I just would love to have the opportunity to talk with her again.

If for some reason she was unavailable to have dinner with, my 2nd choice would be my paternal grandmother. She died only 3 years ago but we weren't very close. Because my parents had me so late in life my grandma was older than most. So she wasn't really able to run and play, and from as early as I remember she couldn't hear very well, even with a hearing aid. At her funeral, the pastor told us a story that aparently my grandma loved to tell. However, I had never heard this story, and I'd bet that my dad hadn't either. It kind of hit me at that point that she wasn't always the woman I knew her to be. I would love to have the chance to really get to know her without the communication issues.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did in fact watch "Rent" last night and I really didn't like it. I'm not entirely against musicals, but this had too much music and that made the story line very hit and miss. I had really hoped it would be better.

What would I be?

Todays topic is if given the choice of being a world class athelete, a famous chef, a famous actor, a famous rock star or a powerful politician which would i choose. This was yet another wonderful topic courtesy of my friend Stephen.

So given that I am have no real desire to be any of these at this point in my life, I think its best to work backwards to reach a conclusion.

I would never make a good athelete, let alone a world class one. I enjoy my food and being lazy too much. Not to mention that pro atheletes only last for a few years (unless you are Brett Farve, I swear he is the energizer bunny).

I would also not want to be a politician. Its sad to say but with our government, one politician can't accomplish much on their own, and I certainly don't trust the ones already there.

Famous actor/rock star kinda go together in the respect that they both involve being the center of attention. I have a tendancy to divert attention from myself and thats not possible with fame. I get enough of being center of attention at LNW group meetings when everyone decides to surround me when I am trying to talk :)

So I guess that leaves only the famous chef. Like I said, I do like food, and I do enjoy cooking. I think I am still pretty noobish cooking wise. Meaning I really do need to have a recipe in front of me. I'm not at a "just throw it together" point. And to be honest I haven't had the best teacher in the kitchen. I love my mom, but her cooking is... well lets just say my abilities past hers about 10 years ago.

That was a fun topic. I get the next 2 days off :D "Rent" should come today via netflix. I haven't seen it before so I hope its as good as I've heard. Everyone have a great night/day.

To fear or not to fear? that is the question

hello again dear friends :) Todays topic is fear. To be specific what am I afraid of.

I guess the biggest thing I am afraid of is others seeing me afraid. I have this subconsious piece of me that just has to be strong all the time. As much as I know I don't have to be, subconsiously I do.

The next biggest thing is actually something I have been working on. Growing up I was severly afraid of being rejected. I don't really know where it stemed from, and I'm not entirely sure if I want to know. I've found that the better my self-esteem and self-confidence are, the less the rejection affects me.

Physically I don't really know what I am afraid of. I'm not afraid of heights and bugs/reptiles gross me out but they don't scare me (except for those big hissing cockroaches, eeew).

I'm not afraid of being alone, in fact, most days I prefer it. That being said, I am afraid of dying alone. I see dying alone as no one feeling the need to be with me when I go, and I hope that I impact someone's life enough to want to be there in my final moments.

Dying isn't on the fear list. I'm not entirely religious but I have faith that another place exists beyond ours, and that place gives me peace.

One fear that I've dealt with since I was about 6yrs old, is my parents dying. I was watching horror movies at a very young age. You'd think I would've had nightmares every night, but it was only one. My dad died in the dream and to this day I can remember every detail about that dream. Over the years that same dream reoccured once and there were a few other dreams concerning both my dad and mom. I know someday they will die, there's nothing I can do about that. But every Christmas or birthday I can't help but think what if this is the last one.

So that is most of what I am afraid of. I suppose I could sit here awhile longer and go on, but I have depressed myself (and probably you all) enough for one day.

I work 8-close tonight so everyone have a great night/day :)

The Hacky Sack? fun or dangerous?

As most of you know, in my last post I asked for blog topics. I got quite the laundry list of topics from my friend Stephen. One of the more unusual ones was my thoughts on the hacky sack. So here goes:

I'm sort of at a disadvantage here because I've never been involved in an actual game of hacky sack. That being said, I have observed many games and I do understand the mechanics.

I think that hacky sack is one of those things that people can sit and be amused by for hours, I know I can. Having said that I think playing hackey sack can be quite dangerous. It takes a lot of hopping around and that can result in ankle sprains or breaks. Not to mention if two people go for the sack at once and collide both could be injured.

I'd kind of like to take a slight tangent on the dangerousness of the hacky sack. I'm thinking the inside is small ball berings, yes? (please correct me if I'm wrong) But if you were to take a hacky sack(or 2 or 12) and put it in a cannon, that could do some nice damage. I think mythbusters should test that :) From this perspective one could see that a hacky sack is very dangerous.

Better yet, what if you put a hacky sack in one of those bank drive thru transport things...I keep thinking of the commercial where the kid puts the roll of coins into one and it puts a hole in the guys' door. Now a hacky sack isn't as heavy as coins but I bet if a person was standing in the path it would hurt. That sounds like a stunt for the show Jacka**. rofl

To the average person who doesn't own a cannon or work at a bank however, I think the hacky sack provides more hours of fun than injuries.

Bottom line: the hacky sack is alright in my book.

Please remember to keep sending me new idea for posts, here and on Facebook. Everyone have a great night/day.

Post number 45- Time for a change

I forgot to mention something yesterday. I finally got "Rose Red" from Netflix :D It's been at the top of my list for at least 3 weeks. Next movie coming is "Rent".

I played WoW last night. Got up to lvl 14. I think I played for way too long, lol (if thats even possible). Ended up being about 6hrs :)

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my regular readers out there (I know you exist) for continuing to come back. Yesterday, through another social outlet, I recieved what I took as a somewhat negative view of my blog. The jist of it was that I talk about the same topics over and over and the world doesn't revolve around me.

So here's what I ask of you: Send me topic ideas. Silly topics, serious topics. You ask and I'll discuss. Wanna talk rocket science? I'll google then discuss :) Feel free to give more than one topic at once. This blog will go where YOU send it. If no one send topics, I'll assume you are ok with the status quo and will continue to discuss the daily grind.

You can post Topics here as comments or on any of my fb posts. Everyone have a great night/day :)

Last night was actually a pretty relaxed, laugh-filled shift at work. We milked the clock just a little bit -_-. Today is a 4-8. Its such a nice change of pace from closing.

Played wow last night, got my gnome up to lvl 12 (last post I said dwarf, she is in fact a gnome). She is finally in the Loch Modan area and is loving the combination of Mining and Engineering as professions, they go perfectly together :)

I've already stayed up longer than I should have so I guess I'll get going to bed now. Everyone have a great night/day.

no good title

ah... yesterday was the relaxing day off I was looking for. Today off would be even better but no chance of that.

Finished up the Balance Mali run about 3 1/2 hrs ago. Now I have no excuse to not work on my ice and myth wizards. I didn't really get anything useful. 2 Life grand rings on the wrong acct. A couple robes that I already have multiples of. I did get my hands on a lvl 50 Mali dagger, which my balance was already wearing but this new one can go to another of my wizards :) I also helped a friend with the labyrinth. Didn't get anything good there either.

Played a little WoW. My dwarf is up to lvl 10 and is just leaving Dun Morogh headed for Loch Modan.

That was all I did yesterday... see nice and relaxing :) Everyone have a great night/day.

Its Mali Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so as much as Monday was a day off, it didn't really feel like I totally relaxed. In fact my head was still spinning from the disaster that was Sunday night. Hopefully I will be able to relax today and recouperate for the rest of the week.

Tonight is my Mali run with Carrie and Bryan. I'm excited, I don't fight Mali nearly enough :D

Played a little Wow last night.

I watched 3 movies tonight. The first one was "You've Got Mail". Second one was "Alice in Wonderland" (the new one with Johnny Depp). And the last one was "Dirty Dancing". Those last 2 I just bought yesterday at wal-mart.

I is very very sleepy so its time for me to hit the hay. Everyone have an awesome night/day.

worst day of work EVER!!! OMG!

Omg work today was sooo screwed up. To begin with, we have 2 locations in town. Someone hit the electric pole at the other "store" and knocked their power out. The last couple of days we have had a problem with running out of product. Our district manager cuts down our truck orders to save money, but it cuts us short. In turn we borrow product from other stores (which often we can't pay back on time because our order is short again). For the past 2 nights we have run out of Frosty mix. Sat it lasted until about 10 or 11PM. Sunday we ran out at 8PM which made it exponentially worse. So not only are we getting double the business due to the other store being out of commission, but now we are out of one of the most popular products. This was one of those nights where I just don't want to deal with all of that. I wish that we could just shut down if we are out of certain items like Frosty. From 5PM up through about 10PM it was non-stop. We didn't have time to do anything early so we had to haul butt once we went dead. I am so glad I get the next 2 days off, its definetly much needed and much deserved (imo).

I finally did my other quests to get my balance girl ready for Mali. Sometime this week myself, Bryan and scarycarrie will be fighting Mali. I'll make sure I get tons of pics :)

Shoutout to my fav NASCAR driver #11 Denny Hamlin for winning at Richmond International Raceway. Also shoutout to my NY (football) Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers for pulling out victories :D. And shame to Dallas for making such a stupid error against Washington to cost them the game :(

Today is shopping day :) I love spending money :D Everyone have a great night/day :)

Post number 40

wow post number 40... have I really been doing this for 41 days (remember I skipped the one day)? Funny thing is that I am nowhere closer to knowing what I want out of life than I was on day 1.

Fall is starting to settle in here. Fall is my favorite season. I like that its not too cold, but just nippy enough to wear a sweater. When I was a kid I used to love snow. I think I've survived too many Ohio winters to say I still love snow, but the first one of the year (or on my birthday or Christmas) is always nice.

Work wasn't all that bad, we got out at a very decent time for a Saturday. I have another 4-close today and then I get 2 days off :)

I watched 2 very funny movies tonight. The first one was "Play the Game" starring Doris Roberts and Andy Griffith. Really was a halarious movie (not a kid friendly movie though unless you have an edited version). The second movie was called "New In Town" with Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. I'm not really a fan of Zellweger (except for the Bridget Jones movies) or Connick Jr. but this movie was both entertaining and witty.

Overall today was a very decent day all around :) Everyone have a fantastic night/day.

NEW BALANCE GM!!!!!!!!!

Wow what a long day at work. For only being 8-close it felt like 4-close. I was angry and frustrated most of the time I was there. I hate working Fridays, because there is no time to do anything.

Played W101 tonight. Finally got the energy up to do the Secure House. By the time I turned in the Snowcrusher quest, I had hit lvl 50. So much for making Mali 50. I continued questing until the quest where I need to get the flame sacs from the spiders and something from a bird. The really surprising thing about my questing tonight was that I got the hammer from the paladin dudes on the first try!!!

Watching "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" at the moment, not too bad of a movie. I think today will go better, even though its 4-close. Saturdays are almost always NOT as busy. I should head to bed but I decided to grab a bite to eat first :) Everyone have a great night/day.

Friday, September 10, 2010

hmm can't think of a good title :)

hmm it was a nice relaxing day off :) Played w101 for a little while. I did the new Selena Gomez quests. They're ok, it'd be better if I was 13 yrs old. I finished up the sides in the forum on balance girl. She is about 7k from GM. I think maybe I should have not done that last quest cause I think working up to Mali, I may hit GM before then (oops!). I really wanted to hit GM on the Mali quest.

I finally got to watch Big Fish tonight. It was just as good as I remember it, especially since I was battling a headache. After Big Fish I watched Dear John. It was nice to see a semi-war movie where the *SPOILER ALERT* soldier didn't die in the end. *END SPOILER*

Next movie on my list is You've Got Mail which I absolutely love! I work 8-close tonight but its payday Friday so its all good :) Everyone have a great night/day.

weird kinda day

hmm well, no one is up yet so I'm not as annoyed as my last post.

Today was a weird kinda day. One of my friends from HS was flying somewhere and 2 of the members of the group Hanson were on his plane. He totally got pictures! I must say I was quite the Hanson fan back in the day. In other boy band news, Rich Cronin from the group LFO died of cancer at the age of 35. LFO didn't have much success, but had they hit the scene a year or 2 earlier and they would've blown up.

Work was fun and boring at the same time. it was another 12:45 night. I'm so glad I don't have to work today :) Its gonna be a W101 day today.

Big fish didn't arrive yesterday. This is the second time that a netflix dvd has been late. I don't know if its a problem with netflix or if its our rude obnoxious mailman (my money is on the mailman). Which reminds me that I still haven't gotten my People magazine from a few weeks ago that I asked to be resent to me. GRRR!!!!

Anyway, I better get heading to bed. I'm ready for a nice day off :) Everyone have a great night/day.

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

OMG SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a nice day off. I'm really annoyed at the moment. I spend all night sitting up playing games, watching movies, etc. and its quiet and pieceful. Then my parents wake up and start making even the smallest noises (crinkling news paper, chewing food, etc.) I am at a point where the slightest thing will annoy me enough to just stop what I am doing and go to bed. The worst thing is when my mom will begin to read stories from the newspaper out loud (which she just started to do). At this point I am beyond annoyed. I really want to yell SHUT UP!!

Played WoW for a few hours. Got my undead priest to lvl 13. She has finished all quests in the brill area, and has moved on to Silverpine Forest. I spent the rest of the night finishing up season 2 of "Stargate SG-1".

The movie "Big Fish" should arrived today via Netflix. I'm excited to watch it again.

I should probably eat something, since I am hungry but I don't know if I want to deal with this anymore this morning. I work 8-close today, should be a relatively easy night.

Everyone have a great night/day.

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

hmm... ok

So last night was not as easy at work as I thought. We were pretty busy for a holiday Monday. There was a point where we were really far behind in our closing stuff, but somehow we managed to make a comeback and get out at a reasonable time.

Played WoW tonight on my undead priest. Got her to lvl 11 and I am actually feeling pretty good about her progress.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is my moms birthday (61 years young). I think today we are gonna try to go out to dinner since I have to work Wednesday night.

I have today off so I think I'll probably play W101 tonight.

I watched LOTR 3. I had forgotten how much I love those movies. I think I may do either the Pirates of the Carribean or the Bourne trilogy. But of course there is always the Harry Potter series... hmm... idk.

Anywho, I think I'll get headed to bed. Everyone have a great night/day.

Happy Labor day!

wow, today was so much better than yesterday! Work was a little tougher than expected cause the customers spaced themselves out, so we had very little down time to get stuff done.

Last week I swore off of WoW so that I could progress in W101 a little bit. That paid off, my balance gained 4 levels and is just a few battles away from Mali :) So tonight I decided to play WoW. My (now lvl 27) Tauren hunter has too many quests to work with, I'm having trouble focusing on one area.

I finished watching LOTR part 1 from last night, then watched part 2. Monday night I'll probably watch part 3.

Well, I guess I should be getting to bed. Everyone have a great night/day.

Sunday, September 5, 2010

zzzzzzzz... huh! What?....zzzzzzzzzzzz

I am so sleepy right now, lol. I think tonight I could've actually gone to bed right when I came in the door after work. Normally its the opposite, I am too wired to sleep. Work was kinda boring tonight, but I worked hard (which is half of the problem right now).

I spent an hour or so in the LNW chat tonight, something I don't usually do. Most nights if I start chatting in there I don't get in game or get a movie going until its really too late to do so, lol.

Finished up the sides in crystal grove. Yeva Spiderkeeper dropped nothing useful. Finishing all the current quests in my book will still leave me about 10k short. I still have the side quest in the forum which will give me about 3k leaving me 7k short. But the main quest in the forum plus malistaire may give me that 7k. I am 99% sure I grabbed every side quest (Except KP and maybe Tomb of the Beguiler).

*sigh* I am about half way through Lord of the Rings but I just really need to sleep. Everyone have a great night/day.

PS 8-close tonight, should be easy :)

Saturday, September 4, 2010

I got the headmaster statue!!!!!!!

I've got a bit of a headache so this won't be too long of a post, but here goes:

Ok I just spent 3 minutes thinking more about how to chew the piece of candy in my mouth instead of what I wish to talk about. That can't be good.

Anyway, work was crazy and hectic. The boss I had tonight is sooo scatter-brained. She doesn't know what shes doing half the time. She's always losing her keys, cell phone. One day we found her cell phone in the top of the frosty machine. Shes a nice enough boss, but her scatter-brainness, really makes me not want to work with her.

In W101 news, I was battling Chronius and he totally dropped the headmaster statue!!!!!! Only problem is that my wizard doesn't have a house to put the statue in. I stopped playing tonight because it was either do the crystalline queen's tower or the secure house. I had no friends online so I figured I would just cut my losses for the night.

Tonight I watched "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood". I must say it wasn't a half-bad movie. I didn't laugh all the way through it, but it had its moments. The one weird thing was seeing the lady teacher (prof. mcgonical?) from Harry Potter, not as a wizard/teacher. James Gardner was also in this movie. I know he doesn't take a lot of speaking parts but in this one he really did have very few lines, and almost all of them were towards the end. Of course with all those women, he couldn't have gotten a word in edgewise.

Next movie up for Tuesday will be Big Fish. I've seen it before, but found it to be the kinda movie you have to watch twice to absorb it all.

Well, that lasted longer than I thought. 4-close tonight :( its gonna be a long day. Everyone have a good night/day.

lvl 49!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funniest thing just occurred to me. Years ago, there was a guy in my life who probably shouldn't have been. Most years my goal for the fair would be to run into him (figuratively). What occurred to me is that my dad does the same thing. He goes just to run into old friends (one of which is the guy I spoke of, but that is a much longer drawn out story). I don't know why I deem this soo news worthy, it just kinda hit me like a book.

So we went grocery shopping today. I honestly love grocery shopping, but not with my mom. She'll either stop to look at everything or get completely far ahead even if I say "wait a sec". She also will say something to me and assume that I can hear her in the busiest Walmart isle. And then when my dad goes he wants the trip to be as short as humanly possible, which is incredibly annoying.

In gaming news, I got my balance Wizard up to lvl 49. She finished up all the sides except for crystal grove and beyond. I kinda want to work it out so that my Malistaire fight is what puts me at lvl 50. I used up my 2 transformations on my 2nd acct. I like the treant one better, but the ninja pig had less lag.

Its back to work today for another football Friday. Luckily I only have to deal with 8-close. I should get "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" today. And I just remembered to send out meeting reminders for the officer meeting tonight lol. Well, I guess I better go do that before I forget. Everyone have a great night/day.

Fair Week :D

So today was... different. Understand that I don't get out much, most days off are spent at home in front of my computer. As I think I said before I have been to all but 2 county fairs in my 23 yr existance. Some years have been funner than others. The years that are more fun tend to be the ones where I ride some rides and have a friend or 2 to hang out with there. This year doesn't look like much of that will happen. I still had a nice time today, being outside and having great food. But hopefully if I get to go again either Sunday or Monday it will be a little bit more fun.

Anywho... Played Wizard101 today, got up to about 48 1/2. I went back and finished up those side quests so now I am all on crystal grove. I really do hate spiders though :(

A week or 2 ago, I began watching Stargate SG-1 on Netflix. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not in the beginning. But now I am about 2 or 3 episodes away from being done with season 1, I am finding myself addicted.

I am sooo ticked at our mailman. Because he was a day late delivering Casablanca, I missed out on Rose Red again. It has said long wait and short wait for a while now. On Tuesday it said available now. If Casablanca had arrived on time, I would have been able to get Rose Red. Now it says long wait again. Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is grocery shopping day (which I am just soooo thrilled about -_-). I better be getting to sleep. Everyone have a great night/day.

The Iraq war is over!

First off, the first half of this blog post is pollitical. The normal topics are below the dotted line. Feel free to skip the first half if you like.

On 9/11/01 I was a freshman in high school. I didn't care much about the world around me. I didn't even really know what to think or feel about what had happened. I do however, remember how I felt on the first night of bombs on the city of Baghdad. I remember fearing that we had just started ww3. I guess that would have been worse case senario. From that night on, I cared a hell of a lot more about all things political. I help elect our current president, and have tuned in for almost every national address he has given. Most politicians lie to us at some point, and I am sure that President Obama is no different. But to know that troops leaving Iraq is a promise that he is keeping, allows me to trust him now as much as ever. We tend to focus so much on what someone is doing badly (in this case handling the economy) that we so often overlook the really good things.

I don't know anyone in my personal life who was in Iraq. I have friends from high school who are in the military, and I have gaming friends who have been to Iraq and have thankfully come out alive.

I'll be brutally honest, I never supported the Iraq war for one minute. I get that Sadaam Hussein was a very bad man. But I could never understand how if the Taliban were responsible for 9/11, then why weren't we going directly after them. Instead we were duped into believing that the Taliban were getting "wmd's" from Iraq. I hope that some day the history books tell the story the right way and not the "politically correct way.

What this all boils down to is; I am so happy that almost all troops have left Iraq and that the war there is over, but I feel no safer than I did a week ago or a month ago. I know that I won't feel safe until Osama Bin Laden (not his advisors or his second in command) the man himself is behind bars (not dead, death would be an easy way out).

I'm sorry for bringing down the mood of the blog a little, I just felt like this was the only appropriate time to speak of this topic. I'm also sorry if I was rambling up there, I was thinking as I was typing. But now, on to other, brighter topics.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Today is the first day of our county fair. I always love fair week. I have been to every fair since I was born except for the 2 years I was in college. I like the rides if I have someone to ride with. Since my only friends that go are pregnant, I don't think I'll be riding much this year. That being said I love the food and really the whole atmosphere. I'm actually treating my parent today (since they get in for $2 each). Today may be the only day I end up going. There's a slight chance I would be off Sunday or Monday but I am not holding my breath.

Tonight I watched Casablanca, which I absolutely love. There's so many good lines in it that its hard to pick a favorite, but I love the ending line "Louis I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship". Before tonight I didn't understand why Rick made Ilsa leave with Victor, but I get it now. Victor would have never left without her, and Rick had to make sure Victor got out. Because Louis was right all along, Rick was a sentamentalist. He wanted Victor to succeed and that meant he (Rick) had to give up Ilsa.

In gaming news, my balance girl is now at lvl 48 and has her power nova spell and her hydra (which I was appauled at the 18 hr hatch time). She's up to crystal grove quest wise. I may wait to finish the grove until after I grab the books from Grand Chasm and Crucible. I'm kinda hoping tonights maintenance was a character copy for test realm, although I did crash twice in the past 24hrs.

I have taken up way too much of your time at this point so I shall be going to sleep now. Everyone have a great night/day.

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

hehe oops :)

So um I woke up today and was checking my email and stuff like that and I thought, "oh I should check my blog to see if any new comments are there" and then I remembered that I forgot to do a blog post yesterday.. oops :)

I'm really slapping myself on the wrist for not doing one, cause I have a problem with finishing what I start. And one missed day seems like nothing at the time, but one turns into 2. Then its 'oh I had a busy week, I'll catch up next week' and then it turns into another abandoned blog. I am bound and determined to NOT let that happen.

Both Sunday and Monday were pretty similar work wise. On nights like those I find myself on auto-pilot which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just very boring.

Tonight I was on schedule to watch Casablanca, but the dvd didn't arrive today. This is the first time Netflix has been even one day late, so I am hoping our mailman didn't put it in the wrong mailbox.

Before Sunday, my 2nd balance wiz was lvl 45 and at the grand chasm. As of 30 minutes ago, she has finished the lab, and is now set up for Pyromancer's Tomb at lvl 47 1/2. I suspect that she will either finish or be really close to finishing by the end of my 3 days off. Ice is in Ravenscar and Tower Archives. I have no idea where my myth is, somewhere in DS I suppose.

Well, I am abnormally tired this morning so I am gonna call it a night (err morning). Everyone have a great night/day.

Sunday, August 29, 2010

hmmm... are you sure this was Saturday?

Wow what a day at work. Kinda slow for a Saturday but busy enough to keep us busy, lol. Today I worked with a manager that hadn't closed a weekend for awhile (except for Friday Night). Friday night went horribly bad without me and my friend there. They didn't get done until 2AM. Tonight I clocked out at 12:45AM. It is my firm opinion that if you hit 2AM you are doing something wrong. Tonight me and my friend kicked major butt, and got everything done. That place looked darn good when we left :). The manager I worked with tonight has been a real a-hole lately. He's always acting like he's always right, and the minute you challenge that he gets all broody and mad. He almost never puts crew members in their best spots. Tonight his ex was whining that she didn't want to do the dining room and he was actually going to switch me and her to let her do drive thru. I was like Uh... no. So as to not piss me off (which he knows would be a very bad thing to do) he left us the way we were.

I get 3 days off next week so for those 3 days I am swearing off of WoW. Its going to be a complete W101 fest. I really need to get back into a lvling mood.

Tonight is 8-close so I am not terribly concerned with getting to bed, but I am getting sleepy. Everyone have a great night/day.

Dad's Birthday

I'm sitting here drying my eyes after having cried my way through the end of "Marley & Me". For the majority of the movie I was happy and laughing, but the last 10 minutes or so, just did me in. I still consider it a good movie overall, I'll just have to add it to the list of movies that make me cry. But anyway... on to brighter events of the day.

Today was my dad's birthday, 68 years young. Most years we just have a quiet dinner out (sometimes in) and have cake. This year we kicked it up a notch. A friend of mine from work and her husband invited my parents and I to tag along to dinner and a movie. Dinner was absolutely delicious (as was desert).

The movie we saw was "The Last Exorcism" and I must say thank gosh its "the last" and not "the first". If you have seen the "Blair Witch Project" then you have absolutely no reason to see "The Last Exorcism". My friend and I laughed most of the way through it at the stupidness and for being a "horror" movie, it only had one jump out of your seat moment. The movie was so disappointing. The only bright spots of the movie were the scenes where the girl was being controlled by the "demon". If you don't like cameramen running with the camera, this is also not the movie for you. My friend has assured me that next time, I get to pick the movie :)

Movie aside, my dad had a really good birthday. I think he even caught the movie bug. He expressed interest in seeing a movie for my mom's birthday in a few weeks, lol.

Well its 4-close today for work, so I better get headed to sleep. Everyone have a good night/day.

Day off :D

What a nice relaxing day off :)

Started off today working on the guide. I got MB and MS done. Stopped at DS when I realized I was missing a few screenshots. I'll have to get those before continuing. Once I stopped, I switched to playing my ice girl. She finished up the area before Jotun and then solo'd Jotun (with the help of henchmen of course). She is now up to Ravenscar and is after those stupid feather that drop once in a blue moon.

Switched over to WoW at this point. Started an Undead Priest (there's an oxymoron for ya, lol). She's already to lvl 7. I really like her so far.

Today is the big "night out" for my dad's birthday. Its gonna be soo much fun. And the fact that my dad isn't trying to get out of going makes it all the better.

I watched a movie called Frequency tonight. I've seen it before, but loved watching it again.

I guess I should get some sleep. I gotta get up a little early for being a day off. Everyone have a great night/day.

SSDD as always

So yeah today was kinda boring... same old stuff. Work, work work. It was a pretty easy night at work though. Next 2 days off. Woot! A few weeks ago I would have said "Yes! Wiz101 fest!" But now its all crafting guide this and crafting guide that. Don't get me wrong, I am loving putting this much effort into something that everyone can use, but I just wish I had more time to quest. Lately whenever I attempt to quest I end of feeling like I should be working on crafting instead. I finished the stacks of wood planks for the GH house. Thats one thing off of the very long list. Now I am working on the 15 ornamental stepping stones. I am in great need of ectoplasm, nightshade, and GOLD! I have spent soo much gold buying ectoplasm in the bazaar. And the transmute for ectoplasm is 5 leather straps= 1 ectoplasm. but leather straps are just as hard to come by and just as expensive in the bazaar, so that doesn't really help.

Played some WoW tonight. I did more wandering around than actually playing though. I like to take a day and just go from town to town and open up entire maps. Its cool to find new places. I died once today cause I walked right up to an alliance town trying to get close enough to get the exp pts for it, lol. I'm up to lvl 26 now. Most of that last level was just from wandering and low level quests.

So anyway... the plan for today is of course, finishing off the quest portion of the guide and maybe doing the transmute info. Then of course Friday is the big night out. I really am excited :) It'll be weird to see my parents interact in a dinner setting with people they have never met (only heard about). Should be fun, lol. So ya, I'm sleepy so I'm just gonna put my head dow...

huh? oh what? wow sorry drifted off there. I better get to sleep. Everyone have a great night/day.

yet another overly boring day

So I didn't do much today. I was supposed to work 4-8 but we were so so dead that I got to go home right before 7.

I worked on the crafting guide a little. I got WC and KT quests done for it. Now that it actually has stuff on it to show, I'll post the link www.latenightwizard.com/crafting_help.html That page has the links to all the pages, but again only WC and KT are finished.

Played WoW tonight. Got my Tauren up to lvl 25. I'm working on cleaning up quests that I left behind.

I watched a movie called "Rachel Getting Married". It's a drama (in every sense of the word) but its filmed as more of a docu-drama. I really didn't like it very much. The story was decent but it just didn't go anywhere. I can see why Anne Hathaway won the Oscar for it though. She did a very nice job portraying a drug addict.

I work 8-close tonight and then its 2 glorious days off :) This weekend is going to just be completely fantastic! Everyone have an awesome night/day.
